This may be of interests... esp for those wannabe horror writers out there (hello Gordon) as it contains "My Top Tips for Writing Terrifying Telly and Not Getting Gypped"

It was genius.

Although there was tons of obvious gags there was a lot of subtle stuff too (like all the 'buddy' stuff)

But if he does'nt do an episode in a quarry I'm gonna kill him.

Last saw Mummery doing his League against Tedium(?) thing very late night on BBC2 a couple of years ago... checked out his web page at the time and he seemed very cynical and pissed off over the impossibility to do anything interesting on the telly (see also TMWRNJ). Presume he's now jacked it in.

I saw some of the baby sitter but (like the scottish hotel bloke), rather too obvious cast-offs from The League of Gentlemen.

The ex-copper rocked... I'd like to see more of him. But the teacher living with his pupil, and midget Dennis Waterman was total pish.

Yeah, but 'Scorchio!'

Actually I started to find the repetitiveness of Little Britain so annoying that I stopped watching before the end of the series even thought it was hilarious in other ways... "I do' wan' it"

The 'coming home in the morning on public transport in the same clothes you went out in the night before' monologue is one classic comedy moments of all time.

It's strange how their careers went: two vanished, one became a tortured novelist and green activist, one ended up sat on a sofa next to another tosser

Oh and I'm a 'it was much better on the radio' snob

Kitchen Confidential totally rocks... whilst I was reading it I started doing 'proper cooking' for every meal. Reading that, a cheese sarnie for lunch just was just not gonna cut it. I keep meaning to track down his other books at some point.

I used to wear a suit (or at least a shirt and tie) for work but now I just slob around in (mostly) stuff you can buy from the average Army and Navy type shop (though sadly they are a dying breed be replaced with sub-standard camping shops)

Fun to see the difference in people's attitude clothes make... like being called 'Sir' in shops when I had my whistle on.

I hate Friends, and the fact it was the favourite program of a particularly loathed ex-boss makes me hate it even more.

"The most evil lawer in the world" wants to buy it with Von Hoogenstraten (or whatever he wants to call it)... thats the evil slum landlord who hates ramblers, is building a huge stately home for himself and got away with murder because of the afformentioned lawyer...

The want to use it to house asylum seekers...

General / Re: Cure for RSI?
22 January, 2004, 08:59:04 PM
I got really bad wrist pains last year... so bad I could barely use my left hand. Found doing all the advice found on RSI/Carpel tunnel web sites helped as did an elasticated support bandage. Also I was lucky that I had a holiday at the time so I was away from the keyboard for a while. So stay off the 'puter at the weekends.
