Also Moore has admitted that he was inspired by a Outer Limits episode, "The Architects of Fear" for the ending.

However he does a lot more with the idea than the original TV show did so more power to him.

Still, mostly, a genius, even if a mad snake-worshipping genius...

That's where the Scottish / Dutch trooper Jock Strapp would come in handy...

>I _think_ they were taking the piss ... dear god, I _hope_ they were ...

I went to a gig and *before I had even got in* while I was queing up one of the roadies leans out of the window and shouts: "Come and look at this f*cking fat c*nt!". It went down-hill from there... It was in Sheffield. First line from the lead singer: "All right y' f*cking Yorkshire Puddings!!!"

You don't get that with Hear'Say

Sex Pistols ? Never Mind The Bollocks
Nothing to said really. Still the best album of all time. It destroyed everything that came before it and nothing after has come close.

Dead Kennedys ? Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables
Blistering political punk. And a Elvis cover too!

The KLF ? The White Room
I once wrote an article in worship to these guys?

Nirvana - Nevermind
I can still remember where I was when I heard Kurt Cobaine had died. No, not standing over him with a shotgun in my hands but In the pub, listening to Come As You Are.

Dweeb ? Turn it on
Deliberately obscure entry? punk meets dance and comes out a winner. Includes the sublime 2.5 min Scooby Doo

Madness ? The Heavy Heavy Hits
I was Ska when I was lad and it?s never really left me.

The Macc Lads ? Beer Sex Chips & Gravy
Yeah gods, were do you start? ?The rudest band in the world?, gigs that were complete mayhem, the finest example of pub rock ever to lift a pint?

Slipknot ? Slipknot
My credibility goes out the window?

Twisted Sister ? Big Hits and Nasty Cuts
? and runs screaming down the road.

Frank Sinatra - The Very Best
Bring me the head of G*r*th G*t*s

And an extra one for the King?

Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band ? Trout Mask Replica
   Weirdness from another dimension

If you ask me again it?ll be a bit, but not too different,

That'll be Rouge Trooper, then

Beanies are cool! Always don a plain black one when it's cold...
And I've got a black ski mask which I roll up into a beanie-style hat for when it's really cold.
And when it?s really really cold you can wear it as a sky mask? though I don?t? walk into the bank with it on?

MACH 1 was more inspired (ie ripped-off from) the TV show The Bionic Man staring Lee Majors. Which was great as kid - playgrounds in the seventies must have been full of kids running in slow motion! But I saw it again recently and I was horrified to see it was rubbish?

?Cut the textbook-toffee, computer?? from MACH 1 is the only line I can always remember from Prog 1

Then again there was MACH 0
