How is it that the newer the Alien movie, the more it sucks?

Has anyone ever played the AVP games? My freind is trying to get me to play AVP 2 and i checked his clan site, it looks good. I have played it a little bit as a human but got killed right at the beginning. The new real time strategy on ps2 looks ok but am not sure i should buy it, wot do u guys think?
