I hate laminate. God gave us carpets for a reason. Squidgy shit-filled nappies notwithstanding.
I dont mind it at all if its solid wood and its laid properly so it doesnt squeak when you walk on it but not that horrible cheap stuff that is MDF with a faux woodgrain .
Agree. Good quality flooring, solid or decent engineered I like but not the cheap thin stuff that pretends to look like it's made of small pieces of wood and makes that horrible tapping sound when you walk on it. I gave up sanding floorboards. Did that twice and never again. More hassle than it's worth, well for me anyway but it does suit older houses. I don't like carpets and have only had them on the stairs in the last two places I've lived in to keep noise levels down.

I have heard of people using wet wipes instead of having a shower.

We had the shaving body hair conversation a while back. When it comes to summer time and hitting the beach, this Yeti gets an annual shearing.

Aftershave. Ok, I do use balm to sooth the chops after shaving, but not the man perfume stuff.

But it did lead to some great advertising eg Hai Karate and Denim

Ditto all of the above. There are some particularly excellent frames in those pages.

And good to see the original version of Durham Red which I prefer.

What about doing one of those ongoing comic strips where say, we each do a three panel strip in turn and the story can go wherever we feel like taking it?

(Actually, I'm just adding this note to say that we're messing up the voting thread here with this discussion.)

No idea how you did that Mek-Quake but looks good to me.

Here's one I prepared earlier. Not happy with it, but what the heck. Colours are added onto my last 15-minuter Dredd head post.

Anyone tried the Photobucket slideshows? Quite good. I tried including one I did on these pages but can't get it to work.

A mate played a trick on me once. He answered the phone and it was a wrong number but he said to the caller, "ok, I'll get him" so cue a very confusing short conversation between me and the caller. Good one though.

As far as I'm concerned the best music was in the late sixties and early 70s. There was tons of dodgy popular music back then, but the better stuff was groundbreaking. I don't like 80s music though I did at the time. I have no time for it and I'm not at all nostalgic about it at all.

1. The Strokes - Is This It
3. Primal Scream - xtrmntr
4. Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
5. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Fever to Tell
10. Radiohead - In Rainbows
14. Radiohead - Kid A
15. Queens Of The Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf
18. The White Stripes - Elephant
19. The White Stripes - White Blood Cells
20. Blur - Think Tank
32. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Show Your Bones
36. Spirtualized - Let It Come Down
38. Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
45. Avalanches - Since I Left You

It won't go down as a classic music decade though. Can't say there is anything in the list that is really groundbreaking.

I've got fourteen of those albums and I'm proud of it. In fact, I'll check out some of the others in Spotify as that's where I get to find out about music nowadays and before that it was Last.fm. I am fed up with music radio and gave up on XFM many years ago.

Agree with comments about NME but I do often buy their albums of the year issue to see if there is anything good I missed out on throughout the year. That has introduced me to some gems such as Les Savy Fav. But having said that, last time I didn't discover anything.

1. MyGrimmBrother 02
2. .Woolly:
3. Uncle Fester

HM Legendary Shark 01. Naughty and funny. Love the alien's expression and the colours.

So much great stuff.

Jim – I owe you a drink. Thanks very much for getting my late beyond late entry updated to replace my original sketch. Now if only I'd spotted that typo.

Sad to hear that Edward Woodward passed away. What is quite weird is that I was playing the Equalizer theme tune on Spotify just a few days ago as I was trying to find the Rumblefish soundtrack.

Thanks for that. I would've thought that the concept of a deadline would've penetrated into my thick skull after all these years.

Thanks Jim. Totally my fault for pissing about with doodles and Dredd heads over the last weeks. Then I got busy work wise. If you refresh while viewing this thread my newer version should appear.

Brilliant stuff. Need to have a good look before I vote. Man, I updated my entry on the other thread and PMed you Jim, but was too late.
