I think the next head of Tek-Div we saw after Brufen was Oppenheimer, in Judgement Day.

Herriman was a street judge and then deputy chief judge.
McTighe replaced him on the Council. But the previous heads of Tek-Div were McGovern, who appeared in one scene in the Magazine story Sleaze in Meg volume 3 no. 40. Before him it was probably Greel.

Those early Dredd stories are great, but they're stories for children. If you're trying to get an adult who has never read Dredd before, they're probably better off reading things like Mandroid or CF 11 to 14 first. Otherwise they'll think Dredd is just for kids. Once they're hooked, then you can show them the other stuff, when they'll be less cynical and more forgiving, and can better appreciate the humour.

You don't really expect to see tyre treads on a moving vehicle do you?!

Crusade just didn't happen. Forget it.

Why on earth did you buy every issue of a comic you didn't like?

That io9 article is bonkers. It boils down to "let's improve the Game of Thronee TV series by making it more boring."

As Finn was in Third World War, does Rebellion own TWW or not?
#3116
It was a brilliant series, and should be made into a film, instead of yet another Jurassic Park sequel.

Surely we can do better than that?

The real logo, to me, is the icon in the corner. The headline text is superfluous really.

Loved the end of Strontium Dog. This has been the best SD strip in a very long time, and indeed one of the strongest 2000AD strips in a while. Loved seeing
Alpha slaughtering everybody
and
killing all the Stixes while still keeping his word and losing all that bullion.
Classic, old-school John Wagner writing, and lots of lovely
blood and gore
from Carlos. Looking forward to another one.

Also really enjoyed Dredd. I would love to see Hieronymous Creed get his own spin-off series (even that name seems perfect for a leaf character!).

And a decent four-page Future Shock by INJ Culbard.

Re the future shock: if they'd used bullion, then it couldn't have suddenly become worthless at the end of the story.
The stuff about why they still use physical currency was probably a pre-emptive strike against people on this board saying "but wouldn't they all be using digital currency in the future?"

Just let it go!
