I doubt that Wagner writes a story unless he wants to write it. And I think he knows better than to overdo dialogue for the sake of it, at the risk of slowing down the action.

I was perfectly happy with this story. It reads just like something from the '80s, but with much better art.

Does anyone know if these will be released in paperback?

Inferno was a crap story, but it is a showcase of Ezquerra's best art.

The best thing they could do is white out all the speech balloons and let us write in our own dialogue. Bet every reader could write a better story of their own!

I agree with the comments about Purgatory: it's not very good, but it is still fun.

Dark Justice was brilliant.

Book 9 has been the best book of Savage yet.

Enjoying Survival Geeks and how ridiculous it is.

I don't think it said that the other 4 were necessarily Fargo clones.

Only one of them is named - McVey - and he is not in any other story.

QuoteDredd all ready seems to have brushed off cancer

It was diagnosed as benign. He still has it, and he's not superhuman.

I agree with ZenArcade, it's one thing to live that long, but quite another to still be fighting fit.

Who owns the rights to One-Eyed Jack? That was a great strip.

As well as a reprint of the old series, I'd love to see John Wagner write a new one.

(I know Dredd kind of is a spiritual sequel to Jack, but I want an actual sequel.)

The question didn't ask who was the first perp Dredd arrested as a fully-fledged judge, it just asked for his first arrest. Bert Dubinski counts, and so does the earlier guy in Cold Light of Day.

However if we are talking chronologically, then in "Judge Death: The True Story" in progs 901 to 902 we saw Dredd go back in time to 1994 and arrest Judge Death with a suction trap. Now that's an excellent way to start off a career.

It's not happening. Let it go.

QuoteAnd the chance to annoy the continuity bores should never be passed up on.

He may just be joking. But I think that a strip which has 38 years of history, during which the lead character ages in real time, is a strength which sets Judge Dredd apart from all other strips, as compared with (for example) Spiderman who is still a teenager. Why fuck around with your USP?

I think the latest episode of The Cop in Meg 357 is the best Day of Chaos aftermath story we have had.

What Dark Jimbo said. We should thank Grud for trademark laws every day, because that shitty story never has to see the light of day ever again!

It is a shame about Burger Wars though.
