We're obviously not going to see PJ again in this story. He'll get his own.

There is also the bit from The Hunting Party where Dredd and DeMarco go back in time to 2070 and have to escape before the counter-attack to Booth's nuclear strike gets them.

I wondered whether Savage was lip-reading what the Americans were saying and knows what they're up to.

I thought the Sovs spoke to each other in Russian, but Tharg translated it for us.

Does it include the Beeny story from Meg 300?

I don't understand what you are trying to say.

QuoteOZ was 2 pages colour, 4 pages B&W...

Yes, I know. I was talking about colour centre spreads (and so was everyone else).

Quoteit will be reprinted in greyscale-colour.

Will it? The whole debate was about whether they will/should be reprinted in the original colour.

QuoteIt was only an illustrative example of the many good colour spreads before Dredd turned all colour.

Yes and I agree with you that Oz was coloured in well, which is why I used prog 500 as a cut-off point.

QuoteSorry to disabuse you of your snark.

It's the Internet. The whole reason Tim Berners-Lee invented it in the first place was to facilitate sarcasm.

That's a damn shame. Poor guy.

On the other subject, Dash Decent found this the other day:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Judge-Dredd-Casefiles-John-Wagner/dp/1781083320

A 10th anniversary reprint of Case Files 1 with colour centre spreads.

Cam Kennedy hasn't drawn Dredd since 2006. It would be nice to have him back again.

And Bolland too -- and not just a cover, but a strip.

QuoteMental. Seriously. Oz colour spreads where some of the best ever...

Er, Oz was in progs 545 to 570, which is chronologically and mathematically AFTER prog 500.

The colour centre spreads from the 1970s and early 80s are not worth reprinting in colour to be honest. I don't know what the fuss is about. The colour didn't get good until after prog 500.

Dark Justice, episode one.

I'll get my coat...

The Mega Collection covers are way better, but you can't just go by the covers. It will collect all the most important and popular stories, sure, but it will still have to leave out a lot of gems which you can only get in the Case Files. And the Case Files will include all of the Judge Dredd stories from the Mega Collection.

But do get America anyway, as it got left out of the Case Files.

And you may not be able to afford both series, but hopefully you can still get some of the non-Dredd volumes of the Mega Collection.

"This time there will be no mistake" = "better wait and make sure Dredd is actually on board Justice 4 before we blow it up."
