Got mine eventually, after I'd given up and bought one in a shop.

I like the black and white cover better!

I liked The Lord Provides more than you guys did! The art was indeed a bit basic, so maybe this was meant for Regened originally, but I think the ending was nasty enough to justify its inclusion here. It felt like a 2000AD story to me.

Can't quite believe that we're approaching prog 2400!

Yes I'm a big fan of Ewing. I hope we see him in the prog again.

QuoteI don't recall those prog stories.
Birthday Boy had art by Vince Locke, and was about a long-lived perp who didn't age. It was pretty good. I don't remember the other one.

QuoteWhich makes you question the whole approach of the Judges
Well yes, wasn't that the point all along?

Thanks for this one BB.

It's a fun book; I like that it has all of these different mini-adventures where you can save a village or fight the pirates or whatever. I think the only one you missed out on (from memory) is the giant skull monster. Also if you had failed to kill the double agent in the cemetery, then you meet him again later on; I like recurring characters in these books (they're quite rare). I also like how there isn't a one true path in this book: it doesn't matter whether you complete the side quests or not, and there are three different ways of defeating Mortis. And the art is fabulous!

I remember it as a relatively easy book but also a fun one, with some interesting encounters and great art. I'd forgotten it was written by the Way of the Tiger author, I must have another look at it!

Looking forward to the rest of your write-up.

QuoteI'd certainly be a DEM if the Judges are talking to the Cits like this. No wonder they hate the Judges.
But of course they are, and of course they do.

Either way, Dredd isn't the kind of person one would enjoy meeting in real life.

I realise you're joking, but that wouldn't be totally out of place in Mega-City 2099!

They were Daily Star strips, coloured in by Alan Craddock.

There's much more story than Fury Road, but is recognisably set in the same world and ties into that film really well. Hoping it leads to a sixth film!
