Film Discussion / Re: Prop sale

Perhaps if they read a little deeper in to the forum, they'd have realised if anyone was serious about buying this sort of stuff (sorry treasure), it was CF.

Almost like ringing up a potential valued customer and insulting them. I doubt any of the big money screen used collectors are concerned by this, they will already know the rough potential 'value' of these items.

These items are going to find their price - that's the point of an auction.

Weird.

A bid is a bid, not sure what their problem is?

If your bid won, you would purchase it. What more can they ask for?

The only complaint I ever have is when people get their friends to bid you up, then when they get caught with winning their own item, relist it, or even worse come back to you saying the winning bid fell through and would you like to buy it at your last highest bid.

I think it was more the £100 when I thinking about it, but it was still fine considering who it was by.

Yes the effort shows, it's a superb film.

There is another community for film vehicle collectors  ;)

This auction has caused quite a buzz in the global 'screen used' prop collectors community.

Many will be looking to grab themselves a bit of a future cult classic.

I'm expecting some pretty high prices. I think most of 'us' are watching for fun, with perhaps a few hardcore fans looking at some of the smaller stuff.

Agreed!

Also the Satanus and Blackblood ones are very strong images. I think he's nearly got enough 2000AD based ones to do an excellent high quality 'sketch book'.

Just day dreaming.

If you're after a Dredd, he's got an inked one and a pencil one waiting in his shop ready to ship.

Yep, hesitated and lost. His list was filled very quickly.

I'm pretty sure it will be 18.

NC/ was probably incase I got it classified in time (which was something I spoke with them about), which I very much doubt I will, as I'm stacked at work.   :|

I think there was something like this on a while ago, where a chap collected toys.

They convinced him to sell a bunch of stuff he had multiples of, but he would only except top price for anything, so of course sold nothing.
