Oh and, I know this is cheeky, but if none of you are bothered about being memebers on NINTENDOVIP, would you be so kind as to send me the PIN numbers from the cards in your game/console boxes. I can build a fine collection of screensavers and wallpapers for Tiny Tips to print off and decorate his room.

I was sorting out the various games boxes this afternoon and came across about 2000 points worth - enough to keep me in PIKMIN mobile phone ring tones until I retire...

I noticed today it says DVD playback (optional) on the specs

So what do you have to do to get DVDs to play? Wondering because it means one less bit of kit in the games room if it does DVDs as well.

(still waiting for my Wii - I think I'll start hunting the shops again next week and cancel my order).

Pah - PC World quoted me 31st of January - which is no good to man nor beast.

I guess Tiny Tips is going to have a Wii shaped hole under the tree...

A SOLAR WIND annual, on the other hand, would fly off the shelves.

As for a 2000ad annual - get it advertised in every Gentleman's quarterly and womans magazine (ideal pressie for yourr best mate, husband etc.).

Same would actually got for SOLAR WIND but you could also get it on the shelves of ASDA. TESCO etc as fun for all the family (except girls).

We had our electricity cut off for about five hours.

I ended up chopping more logs for the fire, lighting every single candle in the house and playing Hungry Hippos with tiny tips so it actually felt like a fun time rather than storm trauma a lot of you may be suffering.

Well, I've just finished watching Season 2 of Balltester Galactica and yet again I was quite impressed.

below.

Unlike the first season it did have a couple of distinctly duff episodes - the film crew documentary one, the Apollo undercover and with a who-er one, the seige in the bar and the "I'm all fixed now because of Cylon DNA" cure for Roslyn.  And the more I think about the SCAR episode, the more I think it was a more than a bit crap (though in theory, it shouldn't have been).

But on the plus side, we had lots and lost of Baltar and Six (I could watch the pair of them all day), a fine (if short) PEGASUS storyline where Adama is outranked.  I know the PEGASUS is still around but they lost a very good source of tension by bringing it under Adama's command.

I also liked the cylon centred episode DOWNLOADED and not just because it inviolved three hot chicks in a room all dirty and sweaty.

I think the most amazing thing was the season finale though and the caption "ONE YEAR LATER".  Takes the show off into completely different area and I've no idea how things will kick off for SEASON 3.  Unless of course, they have another caption that says "ANOTHER YEAR LATER" and everybody walks around going "Phew, that was lucky we managed to overthrow the cylon occupation of new Caprica without too much trouble".

It really is a starange thing to do - I honestly can't think of a similar example in televeison other than the DALLAS "And Bobby walks into the shower and it's all been a dream".

Discuss.

I'm taking a stand and refusing to vote in this (and I'd probably refuse to vote in a shittest artist pole as well).

After all, humour is about as subjective as things come.

I personally wouldn't argue that people must like DR and Quinch because it's brilliantly constructed. Switch on a TV in the seventies and you'll see a thousand brilliantly constructed jokes - even in stuff like LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR - I just don't happen to find them funny.

For the record - I found DR and Quinch hilarious and actually really enjoyed Balls Brothers. I can appreciate the craft that goes into Bek and Kawl and how cleverly put together it is but it's not my cup of tea mostly - but I can see how some people would like it.

Oooh - hark at me. Two glasses of wine and I thinks I know all about humour.

"The game with Siku art?"

I'm partial to the odd bit of Siku but I thought this thread was going to be "What's he drawn on Dredd's shoulder?"

Some of the bits where Starr goes off on rants were pretty laugh out loud funny, I thought.

That bit was class.

James Marsden would have been a good choice.

But who for Tulip and Cassidy?

Her from MY NAME IS EARL for Tulip I reckon.  She's pretty much spot on in that and has all the right bits in all the right places.

I remember seeing this and liking it.

Sometimes it can be quite broad Brian Trousers type farce and was a head of it's time in the comedy of cringe inducing embarrasment.

Worth checking out though.
