Dunno if this was worth a post, but I just found it a bit odd. Is there a reason for this? Or did somebody plain forget? :p

That's by human standards. For all you know, the race it comes from may live a million years.

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! Just another reason to bow down to the greatness that is Simon Pegg (like we needed one anyway).

I was actually dreading this episode because of the bloke from Corrie, but I honestly never thought I'd find myself enjoying what they did to him. Or indeed his acting. Quite surprising, very good episode!

"Beck and Kawl;I think Spurriers dogmatics work best in print to be honest.Im enjoying this brief slice of comedy.I especially relish the teddy bear being a prison for defeated foes.Nice touch."

I thought she was just being sarcastic in an arrogant, defensive, gothlike way...

I actually rather liked Bec & Kawl. I have to say it made me laugh... Quite a lot. Maybe I'm just easy to please? But I thought the traffic cone aliens were a delightful surprise (I thought it was an ice cream before I read the hollywood style blurb though).

American Gothic continues to be a delight. I can't wait for the next part, and I still see no problem at all with the art. In fact, I dare say if Slaine wasn't in the prog it'd be the best piece of artwork this week.

Dredd... The art on this is rather patchy isn't it? Some parts of the story (like the first page) were rather impressive, but in some parts it looked like the characters had been cut out and glued onto the background. Still it's nice, and the outragous proportitions of the man getting searched made me smile. Plot could go either way at the moment, but in Rennie I trust! :)

Slaine and the V.C.s kind of stumbled along this week. Still not sure what to make of Slaine.

Droid Life was a pleasure as always! Hilarious stuff to be sure! :D

One costume throughout the entire movie... Reminds me of Shaun of the Dead in that respect...

Yeah, I'm still not impressed with the movie, but Freeman was an excellent guest to have on the show. Especially when he was taking snipes at Woss' hair cut ;)

Just managed to get my hands on this and read it, and it's quite spectacular! But yes, the page mix up is bloody annoying but definatly forgiving...

Was I the only one who thought....

SPOILER!

The robots of Black Heart were making pies from Human flesh? Were they actually doing this? Or was it left to reader speculation?

End Spoiler.

As for new Robo-Hunter, I personally loved it. Not as good as classic Slade, as at the moment Samamtha isn't as well rounded a character imo, but I still enjoyed it.

Yeah, if you can stand missing out on some very vital details and possibly having parts of Nemesis the Warlock spoiled for you (I don't know, as I've never read Nemesis) The Black Hole is the most exciting read I've had in awhile. It really is much more mature, and brings out a darker side in some characters.

Thank god Sin/Dex is over... But by god can we get rid of Slaine again! I didn't even find Langley's art half as attractive as I did last time around, and I really blame the really strange dipiction of Slaine himself for that.

Still, glad American Gothic is still going strong! Really enjoying this, and I really cannot see a problem with the art. Dredd was a real class act this week, although I still feel (having never read the original meg story) that some more explanation could have been in order.

Nice, witty end to the Dante tale, hoping he comes back sooner rather than later. And the V.C.s was a nice bit of action... But not much else really.

Well, Amazon have only just decided to dispatch one of my Modesty Blaise books...

.... From July 19th.

Although, now they (apparently) have them in stock, you might just be in luck Wils!

24 hours on the Modesty books seems to translate roughly into 24 years.

I'll give that a try Amstor, as the first Modesty book was the best thing I'd read in ages.

Wils - I wouldn't hold out hope for the Modesty books either if you're ordering them from Amazon. Two of the three I've ordered never even got dispatched.

Bah! I love American Gothic! So far it's impressed me far more than SCB and the extremely unimpressive Tiger Sun. I do actually care about laChance, and I want to find out more about him and where he came from and what's going to happen to him... Which is more than I can say for any other the characters in the other one off's I mentioned.

I think it's main strength is that it has a nice balence between the old West and even older fantasy elements. One never seems to quite overpower the other, and it never gets too unrealistic (in my opnion).

I have to agree with Rac on the art. I like it, it has a nice feel... Reminds me a bit of Young Middenface, but only a lot more solid and black...

Just a case of quality over novelty then. Which makes a nice change...
