I don't see why he shouldn't become king. I find it odd how so many people are saying to "just skip a generation", when the process clearly doesn't work like that. We live in different times now?it's not the 1950s. I'm pretty certain that if things need changing to eventually install Charles as king, those changes will be made.

I re-read Killing Time last year. I'm now nearly 30 and actually thought it more horrific than when I was a kid.

Seeing as Rebellion graphic designers have a penchant for half-covering the logos of 2000 AD and the Meg with various bits of cover art, it's hardly a surprise to see the same thing happening on these books. Still, they could put a picture of a poo on the cover and I'd still buy the Indigo Prime collection.

Truth be told, I've never understood the UK reprints. Bison? Wardog? Jeez... It's a shame Leviathan is going to be Euro-only, because it means no-one'll ever find it. Such a great story should have made it into the US DC/Rebellion list.

As for the new covers, I like the IP one (and cannot place it, although I assume it's not an original). I've never been convinced by that particular Halo Jones image, but it works well enough.

Man, are you in for a treat.

The way I understand it is that the Dark Judges preferred the personal touch (as proven by Death's comments in the most recent solo series). However, Death's stance changed, hence him trying to acquire WMDs in his recent story.

Nice one?they'll be getting an order later, while Amazon will be getting a return, and I'll be getting a refund. As for the other books, I think I might just wait until May for most of them?my folks will be in the USA, and I'll be able to buy the much cheaper US editions and get them shipped to my dad! :)

My Bad Company book arrived today?the 2000 AD book I've been looking forward to more than any other?and four of the pages are wrecked! Arrgghhhh! Amazon now has the book on 3-5 weeks (which sometimes actually means 3-5 weeks, but usually means "we aren't getting any more in"), and Play.com is "out of stock". Does anyone know of anywhere online that has this book available more or less immediately? I would try this site, but I've no idea whether Rebellion has any in stock, and don't know what its GN packaging is like (if it's anything like the comics, I shudder to think how a book would turn up).

Two things about that online version:

1. You can't always tell what it's saying (access vs excess).
2. It incorrectly spells "all ready" as "already" (which has become "accepted" to some extent, but is frowned upon by all major style guides).

In the original annual, it states that several people donated to get their names in the strip. However, I only recall a couple of names creeping in to the version that ended up being published in the annual.

IIRC, Dom's dealing with the GNs now.

Hmm... Maybe I really should make an offer to Rebellion to proof the cover art. After all, I spend plenty of time each day sub-editing stuff... Mind you, those behind the GNs might be insulted, so perhaps it's not a very good idea.

Maybe the circulation is too low and the distributor has dropped it. There were rumours a few months ago that WHSmith was actually going to drop every magazine with a circulation under 25,000 (which would, presumably, kill the chain, because it would lose one of its main reasons to be: a large selection of magazines).

Armoured Gideon E.E.? No, thanks. However, a complete Armoured Gideon TPB? Yes!

In which case, I stand corrected. My apologies.
