Quote from: "mygrimmbrother"What's the best way to upload a pic guys? Do you all have flickr or photobucket?
I use photobucket and I'm a complete luddite, so it's reasonably straightforward. Haven't tried flickr.

That's some bloody good writing there Longmanshort, funny as hell. With a perfect punchline.

I'm going to have a deuce of a time deciding my votes again.

Nice one Johnny, I'd forgotten just how big the bloody things are. And that they had a bike bay. Hmm, gives me an idea.

As well as flashing your legs. Get one of the DVDs that the DVLA sell. There's a load of good advice and most importantly several examples of the hazard perception test that you can practice on.

I did a theory test a couple of years ago when I took my motorcycle test and found that the questions were fairly straight forward if you do a bit of revision. I had the benefit of having driven for 17 years mind you. The hazard perception test needs practice.

I assume this is all advice you've received from your instructor already, no quick fixes I'm afraid, revise and practice.

That's hilarious Shark. Poor old Carlos and his "abyssal melancholy", a lovely turn of phrase.

Seriously funny writing.

I tried to click on the links, but I don't think anyone noticed. Let's just pretend I didn't do that.

What a nice man Kev O'Neill is.

Got a couple of "1910"s signed, one for me,one as a future short story comp prize.

I asked him if he fancied a go at the art comp but he said that neither himself or Alan had access to the internet and were slowly trying to catch up to the late 20th century. Ah well, the seed has been planted. I think he's a bit wary of the opposition, that's what it is.

Not sure if I spotted you or not Peter, there were a few tallish blonde blokes. Luckily the comic gods smiled on me and it was raining when I left home, bright sunshine whilst in Brighton and then rain again on the way home.

Must get to a convention this year.

Hello there, welcome back Fifty. I'm relatively new here but I think you'll find it's a pleasant place to frequent these days.

HENRY FLINT, colour AND black and white. Super demented loveliness.
D'ISRAELI. Utterly unique style.
SIMON FRASER. When he's on form he's the dog's danglies. Sometimes slips in the minor panels.
LEE CARTER. Fantastic draughtsmanship. Much, much more to come.
JOCK. Solid. Like Cam Kennedy's, his work has real weight.
EDMUND BAGWELL. Brilliant characterisation.

And many more that I'm bound to have forgotten to mention.

We're lucky buggers really aren't we.

Books & Comics / Re: Whats everyone reading?
15 May, 2009, 04:36:47 PM
This weekend I shall mostly be reading "100 Bullets". I managed to get volumes 4,5,6,7 and 9 for £20 on ebay. Result. No other bugger bid. They got delivered this morning.

And "The Goon, Chinatown" turned up about 5 minutes later.

Our postman at work just puts anything from amazon straight on my bench now. That's good service.

An embarrassment of riches. But what to read first. "Zima Blue" by Alastair Reynolds turned up yesterday as well.

So I'm all right for reading material for a bit.
