I'd have it in no immediately recognizable era and wouldn't include any story line from one of the epic Dredd sagas. Dredd in his 30s/40s and something involving Fatties, Futsies, Simps, Branch Moronians, Mopads, kneepads, Boing, Stubguns, Max Normal, monkey gangsters, skysurfers, Otto Sump, bike cannons, Manta tanks, bat gliders and an absolutely mind blowing Mega City 1. And at least one instance of boot knife to the eye.

I thought exactly the same thing MIK, didn't want to say anything because I figured there was no way in hell I was right. However...

I've been watching it but I'm not surprised in the slightest that it's been canceled. Way to much filler and not nearly enough zap pow freaky alien spacefighty thriller. Waste of money, they should have made Strontium Dog: The Series!

Top thrill Bhuna! Happy Christmas mate!

I reckon I've got as far as I'm going to get with the Spot The Thrill contest Phil so I'll make up the ones I really got a clue about and type up my guesses thus far.

I read this last night and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Fantastic work from all the contributors, well done to the lot of you. And a hearty handshake for David for bringing it all together, nice job sir!

I've done a mini review for the ECBT2000AD site which I'm sure Rich will post up when he gets a chance. In a nutshell though, if there are any left, buy one.

The Third Policeman by Flann O'Brien

Now there's a book.  As have I no doubt mentioned before, one of the reasons I bought my albatross house is because it was in a place called deSelby.

Planet Hulk is pretty good too, but I ain't buying a house there.

Possibly my favourite book bar non. I think I've got three different editions floating about the place in various states of repair, time for a reread over Christmas methinks. At-Swim-Two-Birds is also a fantastic literary romp but can bewilder some readers.

So far...

Cover - Beautiful. Simon Fraser's architectural flights of fancy are always a treat.

Droidlife - "SPLUNDIG THIS VUR THRIGG". Nyuk-nyuk-nyuk.

Dredd - Loved it. Al does the whole counterpointing text with visuals thing so well (I could probably have put that better but hey...), dry, dry wit with moments that made me laugh out loud. The Marshall unit does sterling service on art duties as usual, always a super clean style and just the right mix of comedic facial expressions and brain splatterage. YO-DROKKING-HO!

SHAKARA! - Flinty we love you...Flinty we do...Bonkers batshit with bad bastard Brenneka. Brilliant! The final book of Shakara starts off with a freakish alien getting his noggin bifurcated by the last of the galaxy's evilest denizens, god only knows how it will end. Can't wait. Robbie Morrison's script works well on all levels and by turns amuses and engages in a proper space opera, sci fi, mad bollocks story, my favourite type. I'm a massive Flint fan so it goes without saying I think the art is very, very, very good. I know this strip leaves some people bewildered and lost, I have every sympathy for them, and wish them well...LOSERS.

I'm rationing myself this year, successfully so far, and I can see that lasting about another hour.
