Hi All

Around from prog 1 to 450 then back from 1250 (did I miss much? no I thought not!)

Shadow the site at present but used to post alot a year or so ago, ah the joys of Sco*o baiting before he went mental.

Keep it up though you're all doing very well. (with apologies to the very old bloke in 'Are you being served' and before that 'Dad's Army'.

Suggestions / Money Spinning Idea For Rebellion?!?!
15 October, 2003, 07:18:55 AM
After an hour or so spent lurking around the various daily Threads I like nothing more than reviewing the Covers from different eras of 2000ad. I think a (looseleaf?) book of these covers would be something well worth shelling out a few sheckels for.

Does anyone else share this passion of enjoying the covers of a bygone age or am I alone here?

You could arguably do them as 100 copy booklets with a brief synopsis of the contents of each prog on the reverse of each page.

I reckon this would be popular with committed fans & would probably be quite cheap for Rebellion to do, so what about it?

I'm a bit of a lapsed boarder but I still enjoy the wit of you youngsters.

Actually I really miss Sc*j* baiting as I'm sure various others do. Some of the ols pvs Sc*j* debates were jolly good fun.

Happy to have made it on to the second 'wall' as it were though. But spend too much of my time on Betfair these days.

PS the tooth is a splendid read at the moment wot.

Suggestions / Re: Zip Nolan's genes?

What I meant to say was Laser Eraser & Pressbutton (I think) it has been a long day and thank you everyone for leaving me with a degree of dignity by not pointing out this error.

Still Axel Pressbutton sort of sounds like a cool name for a Future Thrill... ok then I'll just get me coat!!

I'd buy that for a dollar! Would probably be more fun seeing Zip Nolan again than Past Imperfect. (Sorry Mr Moore please go back to Axel Pressbutton, it really was much more fun)

Its got to be 61 the only comic cover I ever had a T shirt of...... ah nostalgia....its not big & its not clever but who cares....this was also the true golden age of 2000ad.

I haven't been following this, what happened to prog 534 I would have thought it would have done well given its fan club following.

Hasn't been mentioned, but I rather liked Marvels.

Lovely artwork & a new take on some classic stories I remember Marvel UK printing in the 70's

Oldest rule in the book, never tell the world how well you're doing as someone will blag it to the Revenue.

Also never tell the world you're an accountant.....doh!

I remember hearing about a year or so ago the sales were between 22,000 & 25,000 so it would appear to have gone up.

I could however be completely wrong on this but a 10% or so increase seems reasonable (and if true a jolly good show!)

OK This is a slight lie as silence usually works for me but if there was music you should be litening to then
Darkies Mob[backslash]Bad Company...The End by The Doors or 'When the Music's Over' The Doors.
Rogue Trooper...Unknown Soldier by The Doors again
I'll also go along with anything by the Beatles post '65 since you can do anything to that music.

General / Prog 1320, Poo & Hunt The Sperm
05 December, 2002, 04:29:03 AM
Everyone has found the poo in the prog, never mind that, what about the sperm.

My moneys on panel 5 page 2 of Red Seas. (dripping off the branch)

Have we ever had as many bodily excretions in one prog.

(By the way if it just happens to be rain drops or something like that this is probably the most embarrasing post I've ever managed)
