Can someone confirm what is going on as the day is approaching. Are people meeting up, will doing so shatter illusions will Troutman look like his icon, will we have to wear T shirts saying who we are? will scojo turn up? (i would hope so) answers on a postcard to the usual address.

In summary is it worth the loss of 'Brownie Points' clearing the day with the wife.

I'm gutted, my internet connection died and I hadn't posted for a while so I missed out.

oh that and the fact I got very confused when initially logging my details and gave myself possibly the most dull nickname.

Its actually very clever you see my name is dean and my name on the site is, wait for it dean, if only I had the imagination of troutman.

Good to hear the background to a truly outstanding panel.

If we're on plugging mode have you sorted yourself out with an accountant. You know you should be incorporating to save tax & NI (and lots of it).

If you're self employed you may be paying too much, if you're neither you may be in trouble as the Revenue scour the internet.

Plug over, I'll get back in me box.

You should think yourselves lucky all I got when I subscribed was a 'Benny from Crossroads' hat rather than the T shirt as advertised.

Mmmm being a '66 vintage I'm happy to say the Beatles were at the height of their powers rather than the Osmonds.

No 2000AD but the original Eagle was limping on.

Matt, I'm very interested. can you have a think about what is a fair price and e mail me on dean@stancotts.fsnet.co.uk with details.

I probably have a number of the issues you want to get rid of but I'm happy to take the whole lot off your hands as its probably the best way of offloading them.

Are you sure you can let them go?

I'm seriously interested in buying in bulk having got back into the prog a year or so ago I would like very much to build my collection. What sort of money are people looking at? what sort of condition? and are the progs in the London [backslash] South East area.

Ho hum Crowded House 'Don't Dream it's Over' well you've gotta keep the relies happy!

Dead right though Oddboy any song lasts forever when you're up there. If I could do it again it would be Song 2 by Blur, bit of a laugh and much shorter.

Following problems with my computer & workload I've not been able to post or spend any quality time on the site for the last few months.

So can anyone fill me in on the last few months as I recall Scojo had just been banned, the 534 club was growing nicely & Col Marbles had updated his Battle site.

(By the way, no I haven't been in a isocube just very busy.)

Other Reviews / Re: Favorite comics

Blimey am I the only one here who enjoyed Mighty World of Marvel, Spider Man Comics Weekly, Avengers, Planet of the Apes, Dracula Lives, Superheroes, Savage Sword of Conan, Titans, Captain Britain, Fury, Star Wars, The Complete Fantastic Four, Rampage, Hulk Comic etc etc

Oh I also loved Battle, and a little bit of Warlord, Bullet & Action, but those British Marvel reprints were really what I cut my teeth on, surely it wasn't just me.

Woo Hooo Accountants Stuff

I still think there is a massive untapped market on the subscriptions side of things.

As I understand things there is a readership of about 25,000 people. I would guess the average age is between 20 & 30 and I reckon there is a fair amount of disposable income there.( Although I don't know how many subcribe)

Rebellion have our credit card details, our e mail addresses and we pay for them to send us junk mail, what are they waiting for.

Finally for all you non subscribers you should be ashamed giving (i guess) 50p a copy to WH Smiths when you could be giving it to Rebellion, who would (no doubt) use to take the Prog & the Meg forward.

Dean

Suggestions / An idea for the site Wake

On the message index page it shows the number of posts responding to a topic. I would be interested to see the number of people who have looked at a thread. I know this can be done as it appears on other message boards.

Would anyone else be interested or am I just a sad beancounter.

.... carry on writing Future Shocks if he carries on writing them as good as the one in this weeks prog.

Absolutely brilliant, I pretty much choked on my cornflakes.

Well Done, the best FS in a long time, I think Alan Moore would have been proud of this one.

An outstanding strip in an outstanding prog.
