>Lowestoft's much nicer than Great Yarmouth (although the Smiths on London Road has really gone downhill over the last decade).

Although neither of them are great. walked my Dog along Lowestoft beach last weekend and couldnt believe that people pay money to go on holiday there.

>I just can't see stuff like this or the band poster progs drawing in too many new readers. Others have made the point that the contents of the poster progs are quite different from the Dredd we see in the weekly, so anyone who enjoyed (!) the Placebo/Funeral for a Friend stories is unlikely to find the same kind of thrill in the weekly

Thought it was more about them reading it because its endorsed in some way by their fave group.

>The free poster is pretty shit, to be honest - swipes from Bolland and Jock, some fairly bland band portraits and another strange and apparently pointless tie-in. What do Sepultura have to do with 2000AD or Judge Death? What's the point of using characters like Death & Dredd in this way? Motorhead I can kind of understand - well, assuming Lemmy's still a fan - but even then, I don't really see what this achieves. Ah, well....

Sure you're missing the point DF, tie ins like these arent designed to make regulars buy the Prog but to pull in new punters. Plus they have to pay and any income that Tharg gets in on top of selling the Progs can only be a plus.

>Rutguer Huer is the hallmark of a CarCrashMovie (you know it's wrong to watch, but it's so fascinating you can't tear your eyes away).

Where did it all go wrong, used to really like Rutger Hauer movies.

Maybe he be good in Batman Begins (2005)

But must admit to liking the following.

Salute of the Jugger (1990)
Blind Fury (1989)
Wanted: Dead or Alive (1987)
Hitcher, The (1986)
Flesh & Blood (1985)
Ladyhawke (1985)
Breed Apart, A (1984)
Blade Runner (1982)

>Yes, I like Bellardinelli. Yes, I like Jesus Redondo. But does that mean I want to sit through months worth of turgid, childish storylines when I could be reading stuff like Nemesis book II or Ace Trucking Co?
