Nice theory, it doesn't really account for Walts amazing monster creation powers though...

Am I the only one who thinks it's odd that it said 'quarantine' on the inside of the hatch, as if the stuff on the other side of the notice is quarantined?

Is the bunker some kind of clean room?
Is it somehow connected to the mainland/real world/ an infinite number of monkeys with an infinite number of typewriters?

Yeah the Walt/GL thing is kind of a no brainer, there's a 'sins of the fathers' vibe to the story too, ties in nicely with the 'Parental issues' so many of the cast seem to have.

(I'm probably being an Ubergeek and reading way too much into it, but I'd like to think somebody somewhere has puit some serious thought into this :) )

 On a (Vaguely) related note,

What is that comic with the Polar bear in it?

 Is it JLA?

Given that it's a GW publication, I would assume it's either something to do with the RPG (But didn't someone else get the licence for that?) or an omnibus edition of the novels (The clue's in the word Omnibus in the title...).

Not that I know anything about anything or anything...

If Wagner writes a duffer they're normally proceeded by a "must be having a bad day" comment, With Mills it's generally "look at me, look at me, I told you he was shit all along!" It's so fucking tired!

While I agree with you on the Wagner analysis, I've never accepted the 'God like Genius' tag he seems to have on these boards, (Surely his work can stand up to a little negative criticism...)
the fact of the matter is Mills has been rather below par since The Horned God, and many of his 2th scripts of late seem to be 'phoned in' at best...

I've really enjoyed what I've read of Requiem, mind, maybe THG ruined him for the 6 page a week format?

See, that's what bothers me about Transformers.

Autobots are cool, they're huge robots that can turn into cars which you can sit in and drive around, but...

In the Movie, there's at least one Female Autobot, which is all well and good, but it raises the point of sexual differentiation and genetalia, so...

Autobots are cool, they're huge robots that can turn into cars which you can sit in and drive around, but, now you're going to think twice before changing gear.

 Sean Thomas?

As in McNulty/ Black Museum Sean Thomas?

 See, I was right...

His art does look better when it's finished!

 My 2p

I flicked through this, saw RoboGuth and thought, 'WTF? no judge with that many Bionics would get street duty, why isn't he a tutor or a Black Museum Curator or someting!!!'

Luckily, I read the thing before deciding to comment :)

Still a few reservations though, why is he tricked out with all those cool action-figure weapons? Was the part of his brain that remembers how to use a Lawgiver in the chunk of his head that's missing?

Also, (...And this is probably just me...) what was that 'meaningful glance' supposed to be? Was he happy? Sad? Constipated? I couldn't read that expression (But then I'm all 'whistful glance'd' out after taking my girlfriend to the Miffy exibiton in Manc. for her birthday :) )

In other news, who did the art for that Anderson Novel cover?

And finally, ABC Warriors, Best quote of the series so far:

'THE END'

If only all Pat's work could live up to the promise of that catchphrase :)

I thought the bit that attaches it to the mainland was manmade? (Like an increasing proportion of the rest of the place, slowly encroaching on Spanish Soverign territory.)

So, as gibraltar is an isle, and it (Currently) 'belongs' to the British, is it one of the British Isles, or do we only count the ones this side of France?

I understand, and kind of agree with your points exept for:

'the other provinces have their national saint's holiday, so England's exclusion seems a bit unfair'

see according to this http://www.dti.gov.uk/er/bankhol.htm/" target="_blank">here the only Britishprovince to have it's Saints day as a Bank holiday is Northern Ireland, so far from england being excluded, it's the micks who're being shown favouritism.

But, knowing me, I've probably misunderstood you completely...

On St. Pats:

St. Patrick was a Welshman, who scared all the snakes out of Ireland. Presumably it went something like this:

St. Pat. : Alright lads, I got rid of those snakes for you.

The Irish People: What snakes 're they then?

St. Pat: Well, y'can't see them now, they're gone int they?

The Irish People: Aaah, cheers f'r that, here y'go mate, have a Guinness1

Or Possibly:

The Irish People (Sitting in the Pub Grumbling into their pints): Another round over here Seamus!

Seamus: Are you sure you've not had too many?

The Irish People: Naah, 'm  drinking to forget int I.

Seamus: Forget what?

The Irish People: Bloody Leek bothering, Sheep friendly Taffy Bastard, bloody snakes Indeed...

:)

On Nationalism:

Being as how I'm 50% Welsh, I always considered myself more British than English (It also means i've got a legitimate excuse to get pissed on St. Pats.) :)

-------------------------------

On Gingers:

I used to work with this one guy who had a shaved head, he was generally a placid, chilled out, decent sort of geezer, 'til we had  'Buscuit Day' (The things people do to liven up shitty Data Entry jobs...) I offered him one of my platoon of Mini gingerbread men and he went Ballistic. Seems he was Ginger all along, and somehow, due to our continued inability to notice the fact, we'd all been picking on him, or something.

Frikking Duracell's , soooooo touchy.  :)

-----------------------

On Public Holidays:

It's alright for all you permanent work bods, you get paid either way, but I'm a Temp, so a day without work for me is a day without money, and we've had far too many of them already this month. with another one coming up a week from now, how am I s'posed to make my rent? :)
