According to this site, Zero isn't creator-owned.

I'd love to see that as well. My only concern is with what it would be reprinted from - do films exist for that period of 2K history? The results of scanning direct from comics have been less-than-satisfactory in some of the Rebellion/DC reprints, and Simon Harrison's dark, detailed artwork may be particularly difficult to reproduce without access to good source materials.

Fingers crossed, though...

I haven't seen it anywhere yet, but Jon mentioned in another thread that the November books had hit a minor delay. They should be shipping now, though.

51 pages wouldn't be any shorter than a couple of the Euro collections we've seen so far. Bump up the page count with some more notes from yourself & Andy Diggle and I'd buy it!

IIRC, Tharg announced the first collection of Ace Trucking Co. in the prog before the end of the DC deal. I don't know whether it got shifted or cancelled when that came to an end, but I'd hope it will see the light of day at some point in the future.

Well, "Slaying of Slade" would complete the collection of the original run.

I can't imagine any good reason to reprint Millar's Robo-Hunter - I suspect his fans would hardly be interested in the character, and 2000AD fans are unlikely to want a collection of stories that piss all over a classic - though the Hogan/Hughes stuff may be worth a look.

I don't think there's quite enough for a Samantha Slade collection, though I wouldn't be surprised to find out it had been considered for the future.

Unless the schedule has changed, there is indeed a Future Shocks collection coming down the line. I suspect it will be a bumper TPB collecting all of the stories from "Twisted Times" and "Shocking Futures" plus - hopefully - the stories missing from those collections, but there's no info on this yet.

I thought that was the only way to get your point noticed here. But then I suppose it depends who you are - some people here can use "childish petulance" and are applauded for it. Others are criticised. Hurrah for double standards

Hurrah for that great big chip on your shoulder.

LOL!

Best laugh I've had all bloody weekend. The slightly raised eyebrow & thoughtful look on the rock-perv's face just make it all the funnier...

I think JEB was being a bit sarky with that post...

So, that's the end of the George Best Deathwatch that most of the news programmes have been running...

It happens to me if I'm logged out, and I simply have to log back in to sort it.

Perhaps try clearing your browser history/cookies (if you don't mind doing that) and logging back in?

It was "Spock's Mock Chocs" from prog 614. Don't have the prog to hand, but I'm sure somebody will fire up a few scans.

Hm. I read it completely differently, to be honest. Mind you, I think my mind may be affected by the lurgie (brought on by too much walking to and from work in the pissing rain, methinks...)

IIRC, the editor when Hewlett did most of his work in 2000AD was Richard Burton, though there may have been a crossover with Alan Mckenzie.

Meh, not a particularly great interview. Hamstrung by the format, and the fact that no-one seemed to be playing into the usual Ross interview setup.

Interesting & enlightening bit from Jamie Hewlett when Jonathan Ross mentioned Dredd, though - almost a rolling of the eyes when he said (paraphrasing) that one run on Dredd was enough.

Hm. I was tempted by Wasteland, but as I'm picking up Sk8land for my DS and as there seems to be quite a crossover in content between the two, I think I'll give it a miss.

I'm shuffling off to my local Woolworths at lunchtime to see if I can pick up Mario Kart DS, though. The little chunky machine is costing me a fortune, but it's the first time in years that I've been excited enough by gaming to actually go out and buy games on the day of release. Can?t wait to try out the Wi-Fi modes in MKDS tonight!
