Yep - that's another to keep an eye on. That volume should collect books 1 + 2 of the Titan reprints from the 80s. There are plans for further volumes reprinting the continued adventures of Charley & co., including some bonus material - including a "director's commentary" from Pat Mills, apparently!

Check out the new Titan Dan Dare collections as well - they look funking excellent!

Hope no-one minds me posting this, but I've just been browsing the Amazon UK website and turned up these:

The Batman/Judge Dredd Files

Red Razors

Nikolai Dante: The Strangelove Gambit

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1844161684/qid=1091448635/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_8_2/026-0647538-8910811">Nikolai Dante: Raising Hell

Any word on these?

Stretching it a little, but:

"The children at the centre of the Mssng Vwl scandal were revealed today to have been reading British "adult" comic 2000AD just hours before they stl, dfcd and dstryd the vwls of their fellow classmates..."

I suspect GRennie's stuff may be, but that's the only writer I can think of. Certainly, I doubt stories with crack babies & Dredd showing his soft, vulnerable side can probably be written off... ;-)

DD -

For some reason, Pete Doherty was replaced on the project by Laurence Campbell. Last time I emailed him, I believe he was working on it & he probably still is.

It'll appear at some point, but the switch of artists is likely to be the main cause of delay.

I didn't realise DC owned IPC. How did this come about?

Odds - one other problem in reprinting may be that the source (films, original art, whatever) is no longer available. It's 20-odd years since any of this stuff was published, and the only reprint that was ever done was for the SD collection that Titan brought out in the 80s. It's entirely possible that the original material has been destroyed or lost.

Don't think you'll need to vote if Rebellion/DC are going to be doing complete reprints...

Heh - game rumours were always the best. There was a bit of a resurgence when gamers started using the internet, partly because it let people make claims about their own status that were more easily believed (so, a 10 year-old could pose as a "software developer for Company X" more easily online than in real life) and because you could always fall back on the, "well, it must be because the US/UK/Swahili version is different" and seem more legitimate.

LOL!

I remember that with games like Dizzy & Jet Set Willy when I was a kid. You'd get muppets who'd claim that there were secret rooms, levels & whole new endings, but they could never come up with the goods when they were pressed on how to get them.

"Well, it works on *my* version. No, you can't come to my house to see it..."

Heh. Never read Perdido Street Station, but I've seen the basic plot you describe in other places before. In this case, though, execution trumps originality - the story is handled brilliantly, and any derivative elements don't detract from the strip.

Larf - yeah, it did move to reflect his mood. All I meant was that if you dropped that word, the line read better :-)

Larf - drop the "moving", and that's a spot-on line for Rorsharch!http://www.psy.jhu.edu/~rrausch/images/rorschach.gif">
