These ended up on another thread, so I'll repost them here:

RATTY:

Well I don't think the writers of the starsky and hutch remake saw any of the original scripts for the tv series. They just watched a few episodes and made the script up as they went along.

LARF:

Hmmm. I can see where you are coming from especially with regards to the scripts, but surely you can pick this up from the actual story?

What I'm getting at is the chance for some of today's artists to re-create some classic strips, that's all. You could give someone like Gordon the story and get him to re-write it and select his own descriptions. With regards to movies i completely agree, but there have been some good remakes Mission Impossible springs to mind.

Overall I don't think it's a bad idea, maybe not a fantastic one though and open foir more suggestions. One I did think of was comparing the future predictions of Tooth and what has become true and what is still fantasy - i.e. Riot Foam.

LARF:

well don't do a masterclass then, do something else that appeals to the audience. To find that out an indepth questionnaire inside EVERY megazine and 2000AD would be good so opinions could be sought.

A rest at the end of "The Day the Law Died" would have been ideal...

Dunno - I wouldn't mind seeing interviews with the older droids. You might see interviews with Andy Diggle, or Frazer Irving fairly often, but I don't think I've seen many recent interviews with droids like Belardinelli, GFD, Ezquerra or Kev O'Neill.

"Chopper", the game? I always thought skysurfing would make a neat racing-type game. It'd be quite distant from the hardcore racers like Gran Turismo, and also markedly different from other "future sport" titles like F-Zero and Wipeout, with a feel closer to the extreme sports games, but quite different from the tired snowboard/skateboard franchises. Lots of potential for crowd-pleasing ultraviolence, as well :-)

Hehe - beware the might of CHEGOSAURUS!

(you do realise, the moment I get home I'm going to be firing up my copy of Photoshop to make more celebrity dinosaurs :-) )

Bloody hell... I've been here since 2002 at least, and probably since 2001 or earlier. I'm just having a look through my message log, but there's over 2000 in there, so it may take a wee while...

General / Re: Durham Red, Mek Quake & Fink.....

The Fink is spot on, and Mek Quake is pretty cool, though I agree that the all-red may not be the perfect colour scheme. Durham Red is accurate, and she looks as good as the model could - it's a particularly ugly sculpture, IMO.

All, in all, a nice little job! BTW - how many organs do you have to sell to afford these miniatures? ;-)
