You have to wonder what kind of parents would send their children to this particular summer camp.

Cover: Best of '07? Great Stuff.

Dredd: I don't have any sympathy for Wittle, Nate's body was always pretty fragile and he still took out most of a pretty scary mob. I assume that Wifey is going to be the lynchpin of this story. The difference between Coleby in colour and in B&W is night and day. Great Stuff.

Stone Island: I so don't care. Bad Stuff.

ABC: It's obvious to see how the Volgs got owned as they were all completely fucking nuts. Great Stuff.

Cab Inc.: (To the tune of The A-Team theme) Talk-talk-talk-talk talk talk talk. Good looking talk though. I could do without yet more "Oooh what is Kostabi's evil plan", we've had this for about 4 years. Good Stuff.

Button Man: Not as good as previous stories, but I don't think this can be seen as a direct predecessor, as this seems to be more about the Game's wider effects on the world. Very Good Stuff.

Blade 2 is the biggest pile of shit I've ever seen, I think I lost like 70 IQ points just from the "banter" between Ron Perlman and Kris Kristoffeson. Is the one with Triple H and Jessica Biel any good?

Dredd can't use guns so every case he goes on requires that he "needs this one alive".

Blazing Saddles - Obvious choice but it's still a classic.

The Jerk is the best Steve Martin film. Am I
the only person with a soft spot for Bowfinger?

A lot of comedies I like don't really make me laugh out loud, case in point: High Anxiety.

I was starting to read comics and I didn't know where to start so I saw 2000 AD in the Newsagents and picked it up.

My entire collection of comics and GNs is in one big pile at the end of my room (I dwell in the attic) where there's enough dust to fill twelve universes. It's like some black hole which must constantly be fed with money.

Prog / Re: Prog 1555: Dead of Knight........

At least £1.90 is a round number.

Cover: I grade covers on how they compare to whatever crap the prog is sat next to. SFX et al looked like a steaming heap of shit compared to Deadlock. Great Stuff(TM).

Dredd: Perfect balance of recappery and new stuff for a first episode. I suspect that this business will serve to further the new developments in Dredd's character. Is the first time we've been inside an iso-cube for an extended period of time? The portrayal of the heartlessness of the system is chilling. Great Stuff(TM).

ABC: I wish there were less humans in this story as this is my least favourite aspect of Clint's art. This is rollicking on nicely. Very Good Stuff(TM).

Stone Island: The knob gag is like something Pat would fart out on a bad day. This strip bores me. I don't give a shit about the alternative universe and I hope everyone dies. Bad Stuff(TM).

Cab Inc.: The problem with this story is that it's the evillest guy ever versus this ambiguously creepy guy and all his hapless bitches. There isn't really that much tension as almost everyone has something bad coming to them and the only people who don't are in the background. I still prefer Gordon's take on the occult to what we might usually see from lesser writers though. Very Good Stuff(TM).

Button Man: I'm now sold on Frazer doing Exton due to the hyperreal qualities he brings. I hope the slow burn in this tale doesn't end up with Harry killing all his enemies in the space of three panels before buggering off. Great Stuff(TM).

I don't have a router but when I do get one (I'm considering getting one tomorrow) my gamertag will be Simpleton.

SPOILERS

I've been hammering the campaign all day and it's great, full of drama. Highlights include the introduction of the Hunters and later the Flood, and your run at Truth. Plus it's pretty surprising when Keyes gets offed. My main complaint though is that the Arbiter's character is pretty thin, I would of liked a couple of missions in his shoes. Spark's a bit dull as well but I suppose thatt's to be expected.
