In a rush of blood to the head, I've just bought issues 1 - 17 of '52'. All I know about it is what I've read on here. I haven't read infinite crisis either.

So, is it any good? Do I need to read infinite crisis first?

I was thinking I may start getting a monthly comic aswell as tooth and meg. Where to start tho? Whats good and whats not? I looked at the what people buy thread and that gave me a list of stuff out there but not whats good or not.

To give you a hand in offering advice, I've read and liked the following - Sandman, Powers, Walking Dead, odd Hellblazer plus the obligatory tpb's Watchmen, V, Dark Knight, Sin City.

So go for it, wax lyrical about whatever comic floats your boat at the minute.

Just read the first two Powers TPB's - Who killed Retro Girl ? and Roleplay. Thought they were both really good but don't know anything else about them. Anyone know if this is still a monthly? How long has it been going? Where it's up to? and can I just jump on?

how do you go about getting original artwork from 2000ad? how much does it cost and where do i look?

I've had a look on the website and there are loads of people with their own collections. Are these collections that they want to sell or are they just showing stuff off?

Also looked on ebay, there seems to be loads of stuff by Anthony Williams for about ?30-?40. What about things like prog and meg covers? They available somewhere?

now forgive me if i'm wrong but someone hasn't quite got the facts straight !

possibly early 80's TV show. there's a kid in a silver suit, might have blonde hair. He's crash landed on earth and there is a bloke with silvery blonde hair and silver suit, well, he's after the kid. He's pretty scary. So the wife tells me.

its got to be the best dredd story in tooth for the past 12 mths. The art is excellent, the mood is as dark and sinister as you get and don't you just get the feeling each week that something terrible is gonna happen? Wasn't expecting it to be as bad as that for Tommy tho, man thats bad.....

but boy does it give reason for Slaughterhouse to go crazy ape bonkers with extending sledgehammer like fists !! Hooray !

has the final solution been reprinted in any form? Had a quick look on here but can only find that part 2 was reprinted in Classic 2000ad 10.

Okay,
I've been away from 2000ad for a while, a long while really. When I bought it as a kid Johnny Alpha was alive and well, as was Wulf.Gronk was running about shiteing himself at stuff that moves fast and generally annoyinmg the tits of everyone. Sam Slade had a body, Rogue wondered about, Tharg shocked us and Dredd does what Dredd does. Not to mention VC Smith being a new recruit !

Anyway, I've been back about 6 months, and both the prog and the meg (which is all new to me) are excellent. Lovin some of the artwork, and my mates who 5 and a half months ago thought I was returning to my sad loser nerd ways (which i dispute!) are always gagging to read the prog when I'm done. Clearly during my absence I've missed so much ! Including all the Shakara story. The hype its been getting has wet my appetite and being to tight to buy the collected works thought I would pick your brains for a synopsis and thoughts on the first lot ? Should I be looking forward to next week and what should I expect ?

the vote about Max from the 13th floor got me thinking about scream comic. Used to get at as a kid, remember my parents thinking it was terrible (tho not as bad as stale beef monster munch left under your bed!

Went today and same helpful lady says that this issue (7) is the last one and there's gonna be no more?
