**...and the Bond movies are all far more fun than Fleming's petty, derivative and humorless books, for mine. *

Reading Goldfinger right now on my brother's oblique recommendation, "You should try it. There's nothing that feels so unnatural. Hard to describe." I've read many weird books, but this takes the cake. Materialistic x infinity.

Oh and to the talented mini-bolt's question: Great books tend to only make decent films and just-okay books have a higher success rate at making great films.

*Is this part of a series?*

Not in the sense we mean today. It was six in a series of comics of that format: oversized with glossy paper when that was a rarity.

"junkies" "Stole" " car" "destroyed" "Steering column"

Had to buy a new car last week. I would rather go to Iraq than spend a day shopping for cars and going to the bank for a loan. I think there's less PTSD in the former.

*I used to live those cut-away sections explaining the kit and vehicles.*

They need to do a few of those for Defoe and Shakara.

Reading Invisibles Vol. 2 and in it is a story about a mercenary who's life is flashing not-too-linearly before his eyes before King Mob kills him. The story is good but Steve Parkhouse is amazing. I'd forgotten how good he was. Very strong line work, no useless pretence of photorealism, very British, keep thinking of Alex Toth. What's become of the guy anyway?

Huh that's wild. That post was supposed to go to the things-I-like-others-don't thread. Weird.
