General / Ok... tell me, what exactly is Munce?

Munce seems to be a fairly commonly mentioned foodstuff in the big Meg, but reading through the Casefiles it never explicitly states what Munce is. Hell, with it being such a Dredd world staple I kind of expected an entire early episode all about it. But it doesn't, it just kind of shows up at some point and sticks around.

So, tell me, what exactly is Munce?

It looks like it only runs about 50 pages. What else is in there?

Yeah, I would never buy a poster book. I can see all the covers for free right here on this site. If I'm paying money for books, I want stories. Not a series of pretty pictures.

Albion, with all the old sixties comics and a interview with his nibs Mr Moore, yeah I know not very likely
Feh, Albion was terrible. Lets see Jack Staff! Or Kane! (or hell, Insiders from Crisis I've been wanting to read that)  Give Paul Grist some well deserved Exposure.

Uh...

Everything?

I'm seriously addicted to the 2000AD TP line up, I order all of them because I've yet to be disappointed.

Well Irving will be doing Button Man 4... so that's something new for him.

Personally I generally like the Small Press section and the Film section is, what? 3 pages? Better then 3 less pages I say.

Stickleback - is the dogs bollocks.

As I'm not a Brit, my grasp of the lingo is a little shaky.

Does that mean good or bad?

If the world doesn't end when the Volgon Fleet arrives to make way for a hyperspace bypass I'll be very disappointed.

I wouldn't really call Return to Oz a true sequel to the Judy Garland The Wizard of Oz. As they are significantly different beasts.

The Garland Oz is a stage musical adaption of the first book. Where as Return is an amalgam of The Marvelous Land of Oz and Ozma of Oz with a horror Gothic slant.

Neither films are good adaptions of the Novels IMO. I wish someone would take a modern crack at doing at least the first with accuracy.  Damn the obvious criticisms from those who've only ever seen the movie.

I think the problem with the Ranson cover is that the shading is way way way too dark for that background. Dredd's arms appear to shrink as the black shading melds in with the black background

Back when the DC deal was still going on (over two years ago now), Time Killer was going to be Volume 2 to Slaine: Warrior Dawn. But then the DC deal fell apart and the new Slaine book got sidelined while Rebellion took over the TP publishing duties. But not before Amazon got the DC Time Killer book details for preorders. Which has been up on the Amazon websites for years now. So, yes, technically the book you preordered is the same book as this, but the DC version was never published.

And from what I've been told, it contains considerably more then just Time Killer. Which makes it appealing to those who have bought the previous Time Killer HCs and SCs.

So Wulf does have an origin story? I've wondered about that
