Yeah, to order yearly subscriptions to 2000AD, the Megazine, and the EE it would run me $448 annually.

It actually costs LESS to buy the individually through the local shop, only $337.83 yearly.

Which, is pretty batty.

Do you have a Sub? Or do you go through Diamond and the comic shop?

Actually we(us readers in the US) are far far more then a "week behind", it ends up being nearly a month in many cases. Unusually we get two issues every two weeks (plus any other Rebellion books like TPs, Meg, or EE) and the "current" issue for us is the the issue that came out 2 or 3 weeks ago for you guys in the UK.
Plus 5th weeks can really make things strange. (one month, there was no 2000AD for nearly the entire month, then all of a sudden 3 weeks non-stop of 2000AD based product).
1517 and Prog 2007 (and the Meg, and Halo Jones, Button Man, Bad Company, and Rogue Trooper TPs. ) come out this week. (Good god, what a week)

It makes it really tough to get into issue discussion for fear of spoilers, because we're so far behind.

Oh and....GO GO IMAGESHACK!!!

Looks a bit... "Indie" don't it? Not that that's as bad thing mind you, it's just the usual.
(A Nikolai Dante utensil set...BRILLIANT)

No, I think she's just not British and probably didn't brush up on her Victorian era hat price ticket knowledge before taking on the title.

Just a guess.

Where's all this "RTD is a genius" coming from? I mean, I can see the flaws, RTD isn't a TV god by any stretch, and I love new Who. Don't tell me the media is playing him up like the 2nd coming?

Seriously, some of you guys must be the most jaded people I know. I for one LOVED this episode, it had adventure and action and over the top villains and crazy pseudo science and great character banter. Basically everything I could want from Doctor freaking WHO.

No, Albion was rather poor all around. Jack Staff did it far better.

2000AD didn't use digital coloring for much of it's color run correct? And was printed on essentially newsprint correct?

How would reproduction of those color strips look on the current paper stock of the Case Files? It's not that much better then news print. Perhaps nothing will really change once it goes full color.

Things might get more dicing when the the painted era and digital coloring eras are reached though...

Just curious. The new Bad Company printing, is it's spine color the same as the first Rebellion edition? (that green color)

Just wondering.

Being an American I won't be watching it live when it airs, but I'll be watching it as soon as humanly possible. I'm stoked because I love Terry Pratchett's work and this looks to be a solid TV adaption of one of his most amazing and deepest novels.

Can't wait.
