Did he write the Shaun of the Dead story that was published as well?

Co-wrote it if I recall.
Nice one-off actually, even if its inclusion in the Prog line-up could be questioned.

It was a bit of a glorified Ad. Though it did make the cover! And it was drawn by long time Art Droid Frazer Irving.

It's just 'chibi-Dredd' with Funko branding. Ultimately harmless if not your bag.

That looks stupid.

It'd be surprising if this wasn't the worst selling Dredd comic of all time.

I'll take the opposite tack, and expect it to be one of the better selling IDW Dredd comics. This Funko stuff seems to be exploding at the moment.

Another question. Will digital buyers have to choose their cover, or will they get both like they did with Prog 2000?

I hadn't seen this answered yet. Digital has both covers.

Good to know, I have those books but haven't read them as of yet - Im actually starting the Kreeler Conspiracy this evening. I assumed that since these books were flashbacks that I wouldn't find the answers to my questions.

They won't (at the time I believe it was still assumed that Strontium Dogs was still the cannon post-Final Solution). But they do introduce a new character that is involved in the events of Life and Death of Johnny Alpha, when the series stops being flashbacks. I think they first appear in Traitor to His Kind.

Also, Blood Moon is just a good SD story. IMO

To answer all those questions... you want to move on to The Life and Death of Johnny Alpha The Project

Edit, you may want to start with the Kreeler Conspiracy/Traitor to His Kind/Blood Moon collections first. These are flashback tales (Wulf is around). But they do set up a bit of the series revival in Life and Death.

Megazine / Re: Meg 377: Psink or Swim

Late to the party, a couple things about this Meg. Is this the first Meg in a while not to have a creator owned strip in it?

Angelic is a sequel? When did it first run? And this is an origin story for Pa Angel?

What's up with Malone not getting the cover of the Floppy? I mean I guess this isn't a great cover to adapt to a trade cover, but I'm still disappointed the collect edition cover spoils the twist!

Floppies?,

Sigh I would really like some help on those mention subjects,

LW

'Floppies' = Bound reprints packaged with the Judge Dredd Megazine. Called such because unlike regular collected editions they are not square bound and have paper covers, making them 'floppie'.

Woolly is correct, however while some Vector 13 has been reprinted, it's been used sparingly as page filler in Megazine reprints who's main feature runs short. Individual Vector 13 stories can be found with Megazines 311, 312, 336, & 337. Info courtosy of the Barney 2000AD database

I think it varied. Former DC titles like Sandman or Swamp Thing, definitely not. But for most I think it's the same deal as Watchmen, if it goes out of print for X years. You get it back.

Knowing how it left off last time I actively wonder if A)
It will come back with a new title.
or B)
a sudden and surprise return in another series all together, leading to more Stickleback later.
If it makes any difference, the Meg floppies are the later Abnett/Williams version of the VCs, not the Finley-Day+MacManus & McMahon/Leach/Kennedy version.

Oh I know. I love that run. But I can understand how it's not for everyone.

I've always found it a bit strange that 2000 AD doesn't do space opera very often. It's why I tend to enjoy more divisive series like Damnation Station or this latest run of Grey Area too.

If you want 'em they're sitting on the side gathering dust.  Free to a good home, just cover postage.

Warren Ellis and Jo-Davis Hurt's new series The Wild Storm is out. I liked it quite a bit, mostly because it clearly appears to be outside the DCU (I hope) and seems to really be taking the Wildstorm Universe appart and reassembling in a far more interesting way. Also it looks great, Hurt has really stepped up his game.

Dark Horse reprinted Dean Motter's Terminal City. Which was originally at Vertigo.

Original Transformers didn't become watchable until Season 3 post-film, when Marv Wolfman was writing it.
