As an anchor charactor in the Dredd movie, whether we like it or not, Mean will be the associative badguy charactor who will woo floating comic buyers toward 2000ad. Say I am wrong. I am glad to be so. These readers will be looking to find ongoing adventures concerning Mean. I am not the sort of person afraid of sounding wrong because it would be too uncool to do so. There in lies my opinion. Mean will stay.

I think the main reason Mean survives is the fact that he is a mega charactor with a topmost storyline staring us in the face. So, until that dsay comes, when Wagner or whoever thinks of the story to put Mean into the limelight the charactor deserves, it will be a cold day in hell when Mean gets his clogs shot.
