Just got FS. I left Young Death alone, as I already own the Hamlyn/Mandarin edition.

'What colour was the spine?'

A pale green.

'Anyone know what stories are going to be reprinted in the forthcoming Anderson collection?'

TBC, but I know that its almost certainly going to be all early Arthur Ranson stuff. I'd hazard a guess at 'Shamballa', 'The Jesus Syndrome',  'The Protest', 'The Witch? Report', 'Triad', 'Reasons to be Cheerful' etc.

I'd really like a comprehensive Anderson collection, including 'Childhood's End' and 'Postcards from the Edge', but we'll wait and see.

I used to sell flatscreens for a living, and used to get so sick and tired of having to explain why the picture on flatscreens (even really expensive ones) looks so awful. It's pretty hard to sell something you think is a waste of money.

HD looks great, but won't be standard for years, if ever, and Blu Ray has so far failed to take off.

It would be great if Wagner and Grant could write an all new series for McMahon. Any genre so long as its mental.

Plenty of iconic covers to choose from for the book. Make a good covers gallery also....http://www.2000adonline.com/covers/reprints/hires/compjd31.jpg">

Greg Staples, McMahon and at a stretch possibly Pete Doherty?

I've always though there could be mileage in a chunky themed Dredd collection focusing on crazy mega-citizens. You could have all the Angel of Death/Bishop Desmond Snodgrass/Simp/Slick Dickens/Mrs Gunderson strips, or possibly just a looser collection to include stuff like 'Chair Man Dilbert', 'No More Jimmy Deans', 'Fast Food' and balance it out with some of the more hard hitting strips like 'Bury My Knee at Wounded Heart', 'Simple Domestic'. There's plenty of never reprinted classic Meg Dredds you could throw in.

They could call it 'Mad City' and make that the lead strip.

I once heard a Seinfeld (i think) quote associated with this game along the lines of "Once you get to the monkey level of pet ownership, you may as well just have a kid".

Flicking through this, and also Total War recently I've come to the conclusion that Flint draws my favourite interpretation of Mega City One.

For anyone interested, this is the cover they went with....http://www.2000adonline.com/covers/2000ad/hires/1241.jpg">

Just picked this up in FP London. It has a different cover to the placeholder one. The stories are as follows (apologies for the nitpicking):

'Mrs. Gunderson's Little Adventure' (nice to see again, but I'd been hoping for a complete Mrs. Gunderson/Quite Nice Bar GN/EE somewhere down the line)

'Turned Out Quite Nice Again' (This story contains a chapter from the notoriously rare 2000ad issue 1208)

'JD Megson' (makes little sense outside of the context of the Megazine circa 2000)

'Turkey Shoot'

 'Flood's Thirteen'

'Streetfighting Man' (one of Morrison's better Dredd efforts for my money)

'The Gingerbread Man' (see comments above)

I would say it's pretty much for hardcore Dredd/Flint fans only.
