Born 2066 accelerated growth to 5 years old so born in 2066 and immediately Dredd is 5 years old. Graduated on 2079, so after 13 years Dredd gets the full eagle instead of after 15 years. Dredd has been alive for 13 years but is physically 18. So if the year is 2127 Dredd has been alive for 61 years but is physically 66, but take in to account his rejuve after Necropolis, his synthetic lungs and god knows what else he's had done to him your guess at his physical age is as good as anyones.

If you beleive rumours then he also has permission from the Cheif Judges office to take stookie and if they really wanted to keep hiom on the streets for longer why not take the bio-chip technology that Dredd came across on Lesser Lingo during the Judge Child mission, combine it with the Bio-Chip technology that MC-1 would have had access to when Rogue Troopers ship was inspected by Tek Judges and just put Dredd's memories on to a chip and insert it in to a clone body.

You've got Maverick, all right? He's on the edge, man. He's right on the fucking line, all right? And you've got Iceman, and all his crew. They're gay, they represent the gay man, all right? And they're saying, go, go the gay way, go the gay way.

How can you accuse him of tracing? That arm is at a completely different angle to the Jim Murray cover.

> I mean how can he be impartial or objective when it comes writing about the title's history?

Realy must give up the cheese, but didn't Mr Bishop say in another thread that he'd sat down with the editor of the Meg and they'd asked each other questions so that it wasn't all from Mr Bishop's point of view? This brings me on to yet another point about internet reviews by people who aren't party to how something is made is that they do tend to jump to the wrong conclusion or put something in print that they then have to say they didn't realise how it was done. I'm sure even the Mighty Mr Trout who in his day time personna is a journalist had to say that he hadn't realised how the article had been done. Again my problem with this is that the retraction of anything as we see in print media is always smaller than the original.

>Bishop is a very good writer and he does write quite a good history of the early years of the Meg but I just can't help that he's the wrong choice for this series.

or it could be that you're te wrong person to write internet reviews without knowing all the facts although you make it sound as if you have more access than just reading a comic.

>the horrible mess that was the Judge Dredd movie and a Frank Miller cover

Artist draws bad cover, it?s not used, where?s the horrible mess?

> Megazine. Did you ever hear such a daggy name?

In these illiterate timers do many of its readers even notice that it?s spelt wrong?

As with the 2000AD review site do general readers really care for internet reviews? If they do then why if a title sells thousands of copies are the numbers who post on these sites in the 10?s. I like browsing the net for 2000AD stuff, I like to hear if others have the same views as me or if they liked the same stories but who are these reviews really for? I presume that most of the people reading them already buy them and even if they do encourage a few to purchase that copy will an extra few issues sold make the difference?
Isn?t the enjoyment of reading comics simply the act of reading them for personal pleasure, its not exactly a pastime that can be done in groups with people looking over each others shoulders to try and read the next caption box. Or is the enjoyment the act of sharing your views with a small amount of people to show how clever you are and that you care enough to sit down and write your views. Maybe that?s why I don?t prolifically write posts as others do because I still regard reading comics as something I?ve always done on my own and as much as I like reading the odd post or two do I really care if someone else likes the same thing as me? Or should I stop eating cheese so late in the night and instead of sitting up just go to bed and pick up something off my bedside table and read without feeling the need to invite the neighbours over to talk about it.

Dredd?s always using other Judges lawgivers by bypassing the self destruct device so maybe the Sov's top assassin knows how to do it as well?

but she could have had her injury fixed in a speed heal machine in a couple of hours 8-)

I dont mind the Logo being slightly covered as I only need to see a small piece of it and I know what it is.
If you've not read 2000AD before or for a while at least is it the logo that would draw you in or the fact that the cover may get your attention, make you have a quick scan and then buy it?

>but it seems more equitable and provides an incentive for publishers to treat creators well

I can never see why people who work knowing full well how a system works then moan about it years later. Whether you think its right or wrong that same system gave Moore the chance to see his work printed and get to where he is today.

Just looking through the thread and noticed that I wrote out a long message but only the first line came out. Dredd:Con sounds great and not as formal as other cons I've been to. Will have to try and get there next year. Look forward to the tale sof debaucery and late night acts of drunkeness.

Does anyone know what Mr Wagner thought of it? I'm hopefully going to see it at the weekend whilst everyones at Dredd Con but would like to know what he thought of it as I only discovered the book because of the message board.
