I'm suffering from that problem where I can't immediately recall what each story was based only on the title, so I might be voting for 'most memorable' rather than 'favourite'...

1) A penitent man (I know it was bigged up as a major new thrill, which usually means it isn't, but this was really very good)
2) The Musical (although I'm mildly annoyed that it's 'greatest hits' bit is still stuck before 1982)
3) Dream of a Thousand Flowers

1. Angelic
2. Deviln Waugh
3. Megatropolis

-no offence to the writers, but it's the artists on all three strips who deseve the lion's share of the credit. SO MUCH GREAT ART in the Megazine these days. (But these three strips do have the best writing as well)

1. Slaine
2. (Sinister) Dexter
3. The Diaboliks

(and feeling bad not to make room for Thistlebone, Scarlet Traces + The Out)

Got it now, thanks! Wasn't expecting a second Zenith foe, I must say -
but it's Strontium Dog who takes the prize for "most obscure villains to feature in a themed Crossword".

Extraordinary effort there! Those feature coluimns have so many Xs and Zs in them it's a wonder they weren't summoned by satanists in an epsiode of Armoured Gideon.

It's a more entertaining story if you sing the Village People's "Macho Man" in your head while reading it.

And without further ado, never mind the best XMAS Prog, what's the single best PROG?

Hope you enjoyed the ride!

The quest to find the ultimate Prog comes to an end...

Well, I didn't specifically pull out all the APNIAMOFJOPs, but I will get into a bit of discussion about them, and indeed pick out a couple of faves, tomorrow morning...

Have managed to get all but 1 clue (3 across) - but I had to use Google to look up some synonyms for keywords to help me.

Was struggling for ages over a 'Rogue biologist' before realising that this didn't mean it was a character from Rogue Trooper  :)

Great fun!

JAYZUS that's a tough puzzle! Am feeling quite pleased with myself for the clues I've got, still plenty to go...

Whereas I bloody love me some MACH Zero. Black Atlantic, meanwhile, is a forgotten fake-gem. I mean, it's servicable, but you wouldn't want to put it in a ring.

Like, Agent Rat is ther hero of my favourite ever Future Shock - but his adventures after that were pretty average. 3rillers are a proper mixed bag but the best ones are really very good. Gotta be 3harg's 3rillers, it seems.

Christmas Chrossword! So happy right now.

Thank goodness Wolfie S got his votes in early today so he can't continue the trend of picking the wrong thrill underdog.

The Dead is far from perfect, but it's one of 2000AD's most distinctive and ambitious stories. Dragon Tales were a bad idea, executed badly. Hogan is a clever chap, but even he couldn't find a way to push dragons into a twist-ending story that was remotely satisfying.

The Dead for another whitewash!
