Prog / Prog 1425: Earth Warrior

Yay! By ever so eeky-sneaky means, I've read this first. How'd you like them apples?

Cover: Yet another Clint Langley Slaine cover. Same as all the rest, but it scores me a point in the Fantasy Football, so OK.

Judge Dredd: Another effective post-Total War story, concentrating on the effects of the disaster on the cits. Looks like we're getting a visit from an old baddie next prog. Nicely rendered by D'Isreali. Not too sure about the last panel, though...

Second City Blues: More of the same. I'm pretty much waiting 'til it's finished, and I'll read it back in one go.

Slaine: This might come as a complete surprise, but, well, he's not dead. Yawn...

Low Life: Dirty Frank in Rob Zombie lookalike shocker! Best line of the prog: "Dirty Frank is gay." Bit odd not having Flint on art duties, but Simon Coleby does a good job.

Nikolai Dante: Trundling along nicely. Burns' art's lovely, as ever. Starting to go a bit The Thing now. Could hot up considerably...

"Dammit, I hate it when that happens!" sighed Alex, reaching for the World O' Doors catalogue.

"This message should be read to the theme tune from The Black Hole"

Eh? I've seen references to this a few times recently - I assume it's something to do with hewhocannotbenamed. What's he said now?

From Webopedia: "Short for Media Access Control address, a hardware address that uniquely identifies each node of a network"

In layman's terms, it's a (supposedly) unique ID number assigned to each piece of networking equipment.

Your ISP will usually register your MAC address somewhere on their systems to grant you access to their network. If another user has an identical MAC address, it tends to cause problems.

Cheap NIC cards tend to throw up duplicate MACs every so often, causing no end of trouble for both the user and the ISP.

Sigh. Just turn everything off at the mains. The PC, the set-top box, and any other devices connected to the PC.

Leave it for about 10 seconds, then start turning your equipment back on, working in from the wall (Set-top box first, then the blue box, if it has a power source, then the PC).

If you can give me your system details (OS, any model numbers on your equipment, firewall/antivirus software, that kind of thing), I could probably advise better.
