SO it's probably not worth someone going through the movie with readily-available editing tools and cutting the worst scenes out?

And maybe if they were feeing particularly ambitious, adding a CG helmet into practically every scene?

"The lone oasis of quasi-civilization on Cursed Earth"? Whoever wrote that synopsis is clearly not overly familiar with the source material. Let's hope it's a bodge and not actually taken from the film.

That pretty much echoes my sentiments, Grant (but just watch me pick the bugger up when I've got a few spare groats to hand...).

I seem to recall a Tharg strip identifying the lady as Cyb-Aud, aka Audrey Wong.
A quick Google reveals she still looks rather tasty these days, too...

I'll second Coleby. Odd that he had a bunch of stuff published during his earlier, awkward phase, then a big gap, then came back with the awesome work he's renowned for today. Did he have anything published outside of the prog during those wilderness years?

You're from Chorley? I'm working in the hospital at the moment. Small world...

A little sketchier than the other images you've posted on here, but still pretty damn good! The layout flows well and the figure work is excellent. Particularly liking the camera angle on panel 2 and the final Jock-esque "mini-splash" of Dredd with gun. Polish it up a bit and work on the fine detail and I'd be more than happy to see that in my weekly prog.

Also, everyone likes a gusset shot, so keep up the good work! :D

Get Jonathon Ross to write a monthly article about UK comics given that he is a fan and knows what he is talking about.

Given the current state of the UK comics industry, it would be a short article...

I'm uncomfortable with stories based around demons and blood-letting sacrifices, etc, though as I think some of that is actually real. I'm not saying that based on personal superstition, more based on things I've actually encountered. Often or not another explanation could be given but it was enough to make one think.

This warrants further discussion, I think. New thread?

You needed your wife to tell you that you're all man?

Well, she did have to look in her handbag to check... :P

I quite liked Raymond's Dredd. His gallery from that link has some nice watercolours, Jim. There's a real freshness and sensitivity to them.

Indeed. I'd quite like to see Raymond make a return as a more painterly artist, along the lines of Simon Davis.

Oh, also, the Asda near where I work has it discreetly nestling amongst the Peppa Pig, Bob the Builder, Disney Princesses, et al. Made me chuckle, anyway...
