I can't read all the threads. So what thread should I be reading? I'm still curious.

Help! / Can someone help this man
15 May, 2004, 02:25:40 AM
Can someone help this man, (please see link).

I'm pretty damn sure that it's not 2000AD or Megazine artwork, but does anyone know where it's from. I certainly don't recognise it, or the artist.

Even if someone can help him, report back here as well, co's I'm curious. (And now my cat's dead!)

General / Re: Judge Dredd II

I'd like to be able to see Dredd walking through the game. It seems crazy to me to use a such a well know visual character and then not be able to see him. It does not make sense. In effect all they did was put his name and image on the box.

And finally, LET'S SEE HIS BIKE in the next game (and get to use it).

General / How come Rebellion.....
06 May, 2004, 10:38:24 PM
How come Rebellion or Wake has just posted the news of DC comics acquiring the North American rights to 2000AD material and in the same paragraph have reminded us that they have done a deal with Shorleline to produce two Judge Dredd films. This is strange, since we all now are led to believe that I Am The Law Productions (whoever they are) are now making one movie with a different script, does this mean that I Am The Law are part of Shoreline?

I wish Rebellion would keep us up to date with stuff like this. How about it Rebellion, what's the story?

News / Re: Judge Dredd movie news...........

As usual we here nothing about this from Rebellion. The comic reading fans always seem to be the last people to know and then we find out from some unrelated, obscure website. Shame on you Rebellion, would it be so hard to post this info on your own site, or perhaps in the comic? Are we asking to much? To make up for it, how how about an update on the current situation, straight from the horses mouth.

Help! / Re: Neil Adams

I've been trying to track down Neils Adams website and all I've come up with is an electrical contractor called Neil Adams. Has anybody else managed to find it?

He must be getting on in years, do you know how old he is? Also, who is he trying to get his art back from?

Help! / Re: Neil Adams

This might sound like a stupid question but does anyone know if Neil Adams is still around/alive and if he is is he still drawing/working. I am unaware of any recent works. I remember meeting him in 1979 at the Forbidden Planet when it was on Denmark Street and I have just come across some art that he signed for me. I remember, myself and a friends asked him who his favourite character was to draw and who his least favourite character was. Batman was his favourite and Thor or Odin, the least favourite, I can't remember which.

The reason I am asking is that I think he would draw a fantastic Dredd. That leads me onto another question, what American artist would you like to see draw a 2000AD character and why (someone who has not already done something)

Suggestions / Re: I have an idea (Wake)............
03 April, 2004, 06:29:13 PM
Yes but I did'nt realize that there were fans just listing what pages they had, which is why I thought that this was an original idea. I thought it was just art for sale. Anyway as I suggested, maybe we should encourage other owners of original art to list what they have.

In the meantime I've had another great idea, why not have an area in the site where fans can talk to each other and discuss the comic and related subjects. What does everyone else think.

Anyway, not one to be bothered by a set back, I've had another idea and I'm calling it a wheel, how it works is like this......

Suggestions / I have an idea (Wake)
03 April, 2004, 05:13:43 AM
Like the title of the thread says, I have had an idea. It dosn't happen often, so I may need to lie down. I've recently started buying pages of original 2000AD art and also, recently sold the last two pages of the Judge Dredd story from prog 4 to a guy in America. He's asked me to look out for the other pages for him as he would like the complete story from that prog.

With this in mind, I am sure that there are other collectors out there looking for specific pages, so if Wake was up for it, why not include a section within the website where we can all list the pages that we have and our contact details. Anyone who has even one page should be encouraged to list what they have, even if they don't want to sell it.

Rufus Dayglo has hundreds of pages and he has exhibited these in the past, it would be fantastic if one day in the future, thousands of pages could be exhibited in a gallery somewhere in London and the website could be a great resource for tracking down pages. It could even be included in a future Dreddcon. What do you think Wake and everyone else.

General / You bunch of geeks
23 March, 2004, 06:00:16 PM
Yes I'm talking about all you guys (and me) but it's not my opinion.

I've just been reading this months Focus. For those of you who don't read it, it's great monthly magazine, with all the latest insights into the world of science and technology.

In issue 137 they have done a geek test, to find out how geeky you are. Apparently you can consider yourself a geek if you own a comic which features Batman, The Silver Surfer, Sandman or, yes you guessed it, JUDGE DREDD. This is actually just part of the test and there are 30 other qualifiers. Watching Robot wars and completing a 1,000 piece jigsaw also qualifies you.

"Yeah, Tarantino, but are they all the same book?"

I guess I set myself up for that one. I really should be able to laugh at myself, at least that's what he judge said the last time someone took the piss out of me!!!

I've been interested in ufo's all my life and have about 40 books on the subject.

My first experience was in 1983 when I was working in D H Evans on Oxford Street. We were in the canteen at the top of the building when somebody pointed to a bright star like object hoovering above some distant buildings. We watched it for about 20 mins and it never moved. We then went back to work.

My 2nd experience was in Crouch End (North London) This was about 11 years ago. I was walking in the street at about 8pm and I noticed about 6 orange lights in the night sky, all close to each other and moving in the same direction. I pointed them out to two guys walking passed and we watched them together. I then went home to get a camera but they were gone by the time I got back.

The third and most spooky was about two years ago. My girlfriend was sitting in the garden and called me outside. I went out and she pointed to a black oblong object in the sky. It was underneath a plane and I thought it was falling from the plane, as it was twisting in the sky but as the plane moved on we realized that the object was actually travelling across the sky. I then rushed inside to get my video camera but by the time I got back it had disapeared behind some buildings. When we were telling this story to our friends my girlfriend described a different shape to the one I saw, which was strange. The whole event had a real effect on me, I felt like I had seen something magic.
