Thanks for the warm welcomes!

I'm also from Melbourne (eastern outskirts) Floyd, I feel I half know you already from all the letters you got in the Meg!
ThryllSeekyr, I agree with you, as a kid and a teenager all I had to do for my wednesday hit was go to ANY newsagents, no problem. I was overseas for a few years and when I get back the lady looked at me funny when I asked for 2000ad (it was 2002 by then.....) I had to ask them specifically to order it in for me and keep it behind the counter, and they STILL *cant* get the extreme editions or the recent special, even when I show them the advert for them in tooth!
sigh, its like they dont want people to read anymore!

I have a weenie website, but i didnt want to put it up straight away as it might look like the only reason I started talking was to try and recruit some Aussie artists, it has some preview pages on it.
In the latest issue of the Meg (for me) your avatar is featured in the Independent Publishing section, is that your comic, if so, well done!
My site for anyone interested:

Hi everyone, long time lurker ( I think I've had an account for over a year, maybe a year and a half )

Let me introduce myself,
Ben Byrne,
Aussie ( but pale and non-sporty! )
Reading tooth since the 600's. Actually, my first issue was prog 666 I got in a showbag at my cousins school fete, spooky huh?
Like many, I wandered from the path, but I was forced to by concerned parents ( continued reading my friends at primary school as I had converted him to the tooth side ) started buying them myself again after we seperated to different high-schools.
Mid twenties, married, no kiddies, 2 snake neck turtles that bite alot harder than people realise ( the first time! )
Like drawing
( slowly ) getting an Australian anthology comic together in the vein of my fave comics: tooth, the meg and US heavy metal.
Opps I'm waffling, anyway, hi!

Hmmmm, I dont want to rant or anything ( though I'd like one of those weenies to try that crap on me in the street! )
But I will say this: if god designed me so perfect.....WHY DO I STILL NEED TO WIPE MY ARSE?

I remember feeling Gronks anger towards the lysians? (forgot their name) after he is forced to blow Johnny away. Hows that!? Bring him back for a few panels then kill him again! Arrgh! Was that story the last appearance of the Gronk, I cant remember any after?
I remember Feral was in some 2 part story with the walking lady or something where he was mutating again, then never seen again, bummer, I quite liked him as a character.

Oh- I just remembered, I think the LAST sighting of gronk was 'How the Gronk got his heartses' in the late 800's early 900's somewhere.

Hello!

long time lurker, first time poster....

Any Nemesis...always good to me, ditto Ace Garp, never read one I didn't love. More recently, Sinister Dexter, even bad ones are still good.

On the other side...Slaine, I take it on a story by story basis, but lately its kept me very happy with Clint Langly's art, that reminds me, bring back Dinosty!

Your willing to post O/S? Hooray! However I do not have access to a credit card BUT I am happy to post real notes ( amongst a heap of paper! )

1 pound = 40000 $Aus......so errr.....

I dunno, how much would you want if I mailed Aus notes....$30 sound fair? For issues 1 & 2.

I'd love to get my hands on a copy but I'm far away, any thoughts on international distribution to Aussie newsagents?  =)

Another lover of Johns art here, no-ones mentioned that Pandora story he did for the Meg, so I will! ( loved it! )

And that story from one of the specials where the chick has a fetish for fatties bums and keeps cutting them off from their living owners, then she dies happy and theres the big splash page of Dredd saying ' I hate it when a perp dies happy'  You tell 'em Dredd!

Also, he has a very haunting way of doing eyes, really freaks me out! And one more thing he has that I think is important for an artist: an instantly recognizable style, very unique.

P.s A John rendition of a warp spasm?! DROOOOL!
