Help me Obi-one-forumie!

In this Dredd story a Son picks his Father up from prison on his release (the Father was put away for beating his wife to death) and the Son was a boy when the Father went away but is now a hulking brick-shithouse of a young man, the Son acts kinda nice but the Father is very nervous and in the end the son beats the shit out of the Father. Dredd only appears at the very end (iirc) to put the Son away telling him something like "Do the time, get out, and move on"

Its got this panel I'm sure where the Son has the Father on the edge of a balcony and the camera is above looking down and the cityscape below is so well done. One of those artists (I'm sorry I have no idea of your name...for now) where you spend as much time looking at his background architecture as you so the main characters. Really really want to read it again but the thought of going issue by issue through my collection is making me cry. :P

Prog 666!

Had to Barney that one - ooh, Tale of the Dead Man!  And err, Zippy Couriers, Bradley, Bix Barton and... is that a Michael Hutchense Star Scan?!?   WTF, I don't remember that!  Amazed that anyone started reading after that as their first Prog!

Haha, you have to look at it in the context of what else I was seeing in comics around me at the time. In the Dredd strip was actual blood! All the other comics either straight up didn't have blood or it was black. And it appeared that the good guy was about to let the baddie get his head imploded by a train! Unthinkable!

I loved Bradley! All the little notes in the panel borders etc. It was just nuts!

Beyond Zero: Some dude got eaten by a giant sewer worm! Yay!

Even the old 'Next Prog' ad at the back, I swore for years that picture of Rogue gunning at the camera was a B&W photo, I couldn't fathom that people could actually draw like that!

Even the word 'Prog'! What the hell was that? Cool!

And the others were still so different from anything else I'd seen at the time so they were still very interesting. Man I wish I could go back to that period of just being tripped out page after page. Stupid growing up. :P

Creative Common / Re: Does my Art look big in this?

I feel rude, I thought it was better to start your own art threads to keep all the different people segregated for easier finding. Accept my apologies and this picture I did a few days ago. It's a bit different for me as I did it fairly drunk and under 2 hours. Took a pic of myself and went from there (the gut muscles are pure fantasy... :P )

More!

Iron Storm was another game that had the war continue. Its been a few years but I think the jist was the Germans and Russians joined together and were pretty much kicking the crap out of everyone.
