Tesco carrier bags fail on both being a bag and being able to carry anything other than a sandwich.

Just binge watched Ray Donovan on Amazon. a Very odd series with some truly disturbing scenes and a lot of dark secrets worming themselves out of cans. (Jon Voight is truly disgusting)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2249007/

Loved it tho.
They are making me purchase season 2 on DVD. bastards.

IMO the best baddies for me captured my young self. they may not have been the most sohisticated but they made an impression...

Traitor general
thrill suckers (seriously worried my pre-pubescent self)
Captain skank
Judge death (before he became a comedy character)
And that weird blind many armed thing in the one i cant remember. drawn by steve dillon. city of the damned?
damn my old brain.

I love space 1999.
there is a lot of crap but the design is beautiful and the score devine.
series 2 was a step in the wrong direction but there were some excellent episodes.
The Rules of Luton is a personal fave because i can smell the Roast dinner cooking in me mums kitchen whenever i watch that.
also the one where people from earth come to visit in a super fast space ship (a two parter). I had it on VHS called alien attack or something.

Sorry to lower the tone after the glorious Das Boot. However, just watched John Wick.
Awesome.
Me and mrs auxlen love bad guys getting served a la death wish 3 and taken (the first one only)
Our favourite scene:
when the mob leader calls a man who had punched his son to find out why. the man says because he stole John Wick's car and killed his dog. the mob leader just hangs up and knows they're all fucked.
It's amazing what you can forgive when you are satisfied with The Doctor. I have only liked each of the modern doctors on a per episode basis. (for example: i have only enjoyed tennant in four of his appearances).
But capaldi is an auld buggers idea of The Doctor so I'm onboard.

Just restarted Breaking bad and I'm struggling with the last season because i hate Todd so much. Dead eyed prick. (or potato Matt damon)

Currently re-watched all of red dwarf. even enjoyed the previously hated (by me ) series 9.

My biggest gripe was he tried to recreate the truckers in space crew from alien and failed as they would never have been chosen for such a mission.

Also...what king of idiot tries to stroke an alien that looks as dangerous as that!!!!
They could have made it look cute so we could understand why he stuck his bloody hand at it.

Oh and why was guy pierce hiding?

QuoteWhile I can't remember ever being really scared of a film, I was quite traumatised by a Flash Gordon trading card that came free in a box of Weetabix.

I remember being quite frightened by that scene in Flash Gordon (and the scene with Peter Duncan putting his hand in the tree stump and being stung) and loved it.
That stuff stays with you.
also, watching the film now it is funny that as a kid you just didn't see how gloriously camp the who;le thing was.

QuoteThat reworked musical scene in Jabba's Palace really is a piece of Crap.

never a truer word spoken. I was, and continue to be, genuinely baffled by that change.
also the 'No' in ROTJ. the whole point for me was the silent decision making with the epic music as his son was being destroyed
