Slaine's Famous Axe

As I was looking for person in Australia who would make one for me, but according to the specifications set in Slaine.....

Which Slaine Axe would you choose?????

His original Flint one according to how Massimo Belladinalli drew it?

Or Mike MacMahon's?

Or Simon Bisley's?

Or Dermot Power's?

Or Clint Lanely's?

Or Dave Kendall's?

Or Simon Davis's?

Is this Slaine's Axe Emporium Toshirt by Red-Bubble real or just a joke?

Can this be made into a Poll?

Aquila....I used have Elven-Ranger that went by that name in a Dungeon & Dragons games I played nearly twenty years ago. I named him after well known constellation.....which is supposed to be latin for Eagle....I think. (So, I'm not sure why African/Middle-Eastern man is running around Rome with the same name...) The funny thing was that another person who was playing the game with was playing a Elven-Thief who's name I forget, but was of Clan-Aquila....Coincidence or not?

When I purchased the movie....the special Box-office channel that plays it will play it again and again until round about five o'clock the next morning. There is about ten-twenty minute gap in between each session.

I just couldn't stand the Everything is Awesome song.

Yes, Man with Two-Brains was the film I couldn't quite recall the name of before. You see her breast or one of them in this one and it's another classic film we're yet to see likes again in this current day and age.

The next Elite-Dangerous video from Frontier-Development (The ship you see flying from planet to ship right in the beginning is called a Eagle-Mark-Two (I really want one of those... they remind me of the Vipers (Funny that they share the same name with the Police-Ship from Elite) from Classic-Battlestar-Galactica and they are supposed to be very fast and the next one I made. About more than half way through this video, you will notice I'm close to the purple coloured star of Maher.....

I've been told it's a Brown-Dwarf, but I still think it's made from candy.

I know I mentioned this earlier, but I didn't get much of response before....

My proposal for a Elite-Dangerous Guild or Clan known as the Knights-of-the-Red-Branch.....

No lasers.... they just use Kinectic weaponry load-outs on their ships (That are most likely built from salvaged parts of other vessels...If this is allowed.)

They are painted in red and blue woading and tartens.

They have really thick hulls (That are good for ramming other ships...) with no powered-up shielding. The equivalent of going Sky-Clad (I didn't now it was originally a Indian custom!) in space.

They keep a ordinance of Gae-Bulg-Missiles that lodge inside other ships on impact and rip them apart as they reverse thrust remove themselves after releasing spikes that fold out from their outer-shells. I don't the technology, but it somehow works and these missiles can only be launched by the pilot using his foot. For this pays homage to the ancient Red-B
ranch-Knight
feat of Spear-footing.

Last but not least......

Their ships do not use Hyperdrive/Supercruise - Frame-Shifting they simply just Warp-Spasm (Outer-System-Jumping) Salmon-Leap (Inner-System-Jumping). Yet, they don't just travelled forward, but up and over for many parsecs.

Seriously, I haven't asked for or suggested any of this and I doubt that Frontier-Developments would even considering altering the Elite-Dangerous universe to accomadate my ideas.

Yet, if you do like my idea of Red-Branch-Clan in this game.

Please let me know and I'm not even suggest that would be the one in charge of this.

It's just a suggestion...... :D

You forgot to tell us whether you would have done Kathleen Turner back then and whether you would still do her now, Thryllseekr. Lego Movie: Batman's darkness song is the best NIN/Linkin parody I've ever heard

http://youtu.be/pqv_LUStxDw

Would I still do K.Turner????

Really can't answer that properly with out being mean, but you should know that I really just shallow guy who's only interested in women who still look in their prime.

A old school friend of mine....(Not sure if he reads me here...) , but he was always a big fan of her and would watch some film with her and Steve Martin in it. Something to do with miracle revolutionary brain surgery.

BTW, I've seen the whole Lego Movie trilogy....well not really...I just watched the same film three times......and it's not really a film about LEGO the way I grew up with it.

80's revival with Romancing the Stone and it's sequel Jewel of the Nile.

I might have paid more attention as well, but I was playing games on the computer.

They don't know how to make movies as charming as these any more.

Games / Re: Help Me With Steam.....Please.....
14 July, 2014, 07:36:46 AM
For the last fucking three weeks Steam has been acting erractically ever since my computer went into a forced restore. Forcing me to delete and re install everything I had on my computer.  Since Have reinstalled Steam...it reusing to allow any of the installed games to stay installed, Which requires me to reinstall them.

Yet, this takes a while and with some games it could take anything from days to week.

The relaunching process of some of these games is the most time consuming.

Stream...also dumps all of it's folders and some of it's contents up on my desktop.

When I try t restore or delete these, they are hard to get rid off.

Don't know why this is happening, but I let Steam know. I contacted through their help/support  page.

I don't know if they are working on it and or if even they consider it resolved.

Sorry about the longish post, but can't help it and I read somewhere that I'm now not really supposed to say much about games still in development, but oh well....

I think played Rust for almost 24 hrs straight....almost, before the grind of endlessly tree/stone/animal-chopping was really getting to me. But I was determined to build a safe enough base away from most of the conflict in the game.

I found mostly quiet area, a valley of flat rolling plains in between two mountain ranges dotted with clumps of stone/metal and logs of wood. Some grass-nibbling-prey-animals that always have the four legged carnivors close by keeping their numbers down.

As I would decimate them all, one by one methodically with my bow and seemlingly endless array of arrows. With not a thought towards how much I might be altering or destroying this biom with my wanton destruction of most of the animals and other resources.

At the time I was thinking...if I kept killing all the wolves and bears, the more peaceful animals would be more plentiful or if I killed all grazers, then the carnivores would (Not sure if Bears are truly carnivores, but I do know they like fish, but it's not really even considered to be meat in the true sense.) need to turn to cannibalism, the other players and start raiding towns before they would die out from their usual source of food. Anyway, this was just my thoughts.....

To Be Continued.....

I've been playing RUST and it's brutally bloody brilliant game. For all of it's lack of polish, and logic that just doesn't make sense to me. I've become addicted to playing it almost non stop until I could afford to make a wooden cabin (Not the pre-fab Wooden-Shelter, but a real cabin with it's own foundation, walls, window and roof!) which needs to be made from planks, which use up a lot of wood from the trees.

Now that I have a sleeping bag to put I've stopped playing.....for now!

I have been killed by other player just four times, but mainly on other different servers.

The second I got so pissed off about this, that I ended up raiding the boxes in two shelters, that I had found left open. Yet, I tried to give back the Pick-Axe, Blood-Draw-Kit, (Just what the hell do you need blood for in this game?) Gunpowder, (But no gun!) and tried return them to the exact location where I found them when I had otherwise equipped myself. Yet, got so lost, I had problems relocating the building/structures where I found and died of starvation before I could get any further.

A lot of the other reasons for my dying, seem like such dumb mistakes on my part.....

It might have been just didn't travel far enough to find enough food grazing in the grass or taking on bear or wolf before worked out how to fire at them while running backwards with a bow and arrow in my hand.

Though, I don't understand why I can option rare items from killing the wolves and bears and even more rare items from their mutated counterparts.

Also dying from a bleeding wound taken from falling or the above mentioned wandering predators. Wether, I could prepare for this before (Like having food (It's always chicken, no matter what animal it's taken from!) and camp-fire set-up or in my inventory before-hand) I start hurting too badly and then dying.

I would often build the most ruditmentary of bases right at the top of those rocky places and forget how to relocate them and then start building all over again somewhere else.

I remember one time, when I had survived about three or four nights after leaving wooden shelters, surrounded by wooden walls  and filled them with a work-bench, a forge or kiln and left storage-boxes on the top of foundations because that game server wouldn't allow me to put them anywhere safer. I had amassed a lot of wood from the wood piles and trees, and a lot of various types of stone and got killed by a bear I couldn't shoot properly.

On one server the four legged animals were virtually non-existent and I just died from their lack of involvement in my game. I now realise that I was meant to just hunt other players on that one.

While, I'm setting up my base...(Something that I am most admittedly very slow at...) I do try to avoid other players and will just collect or hunt for resources while sneaking in the long grass if I hear a lot of gunshot or see them hunting animals or each other. It's best to avoid the settlements and other peoples building. Otherwise they will find me and shoot me for resource gathering on what they perceive to be their own territory. In this game, I thinks it's basically anything that it's watched, tied downed or have a fence or wall around is anybodies for the taking. Of course, I would hate this happen in real life. (Or does it :o)

I would find the most resources on most game servers to be more plentiful near where they are settlements and other player's buildings/structures/guards-towers and other fortications.

Natureally..... :-\

Anyway, I have been approached by some friendly players (At least they were or were pretending to be...) who wanted to group, trade or just help and let them know I really wanted to get my shit together before I start grouping. I think it's a unwritten law that you must prove you can survive in this game while contributing to it yourself before trusting compete stranger or even people you my know in real life that play the game. I know I would turn my back on any of the people I know.

I have noticed that other players on one server where surprising friendly when I said I was lost and wanted to return some stuff I raided, but never used and couldn't find the buildings I found them in. (Mentioned earlier.)  Yeah, put up with my bullshit for while and even the one that shot me in a earlier game said I sounded like descent fella. I eventually succumbed to starvation after wandering in a large area where there was no grazers.

I really want to set myself up in this game before I get to much help from others.

Right now I have that building built and for the first time I got left my sleeping bag in it. It's supposed to allow me to re-spawn there if I die. Yet, I disconnected from the game while I was in the process of starving. The cabin I built is just below some large but squat grassy hills. There doesn't appear to be any life other than trees and rocks for leages around me and I'm still completely naked.

Well, at least I will respawn back there when I die.

Some things I don't understand about the game.

Trees, remain where they are...still standing after I've chopped wood from them.

I can do this with just the starter-rock in my hand. (Yet, at least that is a step up from punching trees in Mine-Craft.)

I can carry a lot of materials, as well as very large items like wooden-planks, and other large building materials I've crafted without the use of a wagon to carry them in. That is hard to ignore.

Being able to obtain, more advance mining-implements, advanced fire-arms and blue-prints from killing wolves and bears. There is a history of this happening a lot in games that can be drawn as far back as the original Bard's-Tale series.

Yet, I understand, this game is still in Alpha or Beta and they wil be improving it and adding more stuff I hope.

Stuff, I want to see....

Ranches, where there are horses, that can be ridden and farms where there smaller animals being bred and raised for food as well as grown food.

Hi-Tech-Upgrades...like Laser weapons, power-suits and eventually cars, trucks, planes and space-ships.

Now, I go back to playing more of Elite-Dangerous...I been playing both games back to back.

I've got a STEAM account which I rarely use. You're welcome to add me as a friend if you wish - my tag is NapalmKev.

Cheers

I'm not sure if you are on my list. I have added all the people found in both groups devoted to this site. Which isn't so many really.....

Surely there are more people.

I even buy people games....sometimes, but mainly only really cheap ones you know.

It's only once I spent about seventy bucks on the game "Beast of Prey". So I could share it with two other people.

I'm not rich and right now I still paying off my computer which will definitely need paying off this fortnight.

Just don't count on me to so this all the time though........

Quote from: MyselfA watered-proofed and covered stick might be a essential upgrade.

Sorry, that was really meant to be Stick-holder.....

And while the Stick-Holder and Log-Holder sound silly, I think they're essential for those times where you want to spontaneously build something in a hurry and you have already stocked them up fully sometime earlier.

A Rock-Holder might be a good idea as well. That's thing about this game is can't quite carry enough of the sticks and stones to build much of anything without making a second trip to the place where you find all of these things on the ground and then there is getting logs which is slightly harder.

Even without the shiny hatchet, you can make one almost as good with a rock and a stick. I think it breaks, after too many hits, though.

They may consider not giving you the hatchet when the game is completed. Just to make it that more interesting.

Anyway, I guess I played that one to about as much as can for the time being.....

They will need to work hard to make it more interesting and especially if they go for more realism, You see, if they make it more real. I could mean that there would be more that I could do to screw the natives around, but so could they I guess.

Anyway.....

It 's twice now, that I have fired-up the game Space-Base-DF-Nine, and haven't remembered how to assign rooms   :-\

I played this and would play it more if it didn't require so much thought and while it looks a lot like a poor
man's version of any of the X-Com Games.

(I haven't played any of the earlier ones, yet!)

Looks outdated, but more fun and interesting to watch in other ways.
