I feel so bad now....I just got Winston Zeddemore killed, along with my self for the third-fourth time.

It's kind of official now that I have started recording the games on this play through.

I also have failed to rescue Egon Spengler who originally assigned as a Specialist (Pretty dam close to the film version!) and the game automatically featured him as a hostage scientist in rescue mission which I had failed because I was just out of reach of Evacuating him and the squad back tot eh Skyranger before alien re-enforcements had arrived.

I know he's still out there, as I found him offered up for sale at a Black Market, but didn't have the supplies to afford him. I should e more careful with those celebrity actors.

I ordered one of the official 2000AD binders and it arrived earlier this week. Nice work, featuring some art work that used to be on this site before it got removed during one of it's facelifts.

I'll need to order more and will be fussing over wether to start collecting the prog on permanent basis again or just go bind all my later Slaine related progs into this one.

Such, pity I have misplaced the leathery Slaine binder I found on Ebay a few year back. I only order open of those, at nearly hundred dollars. I think. They don't appear to make those any more and as always I suspect it got stuck to somebody else's hand before they left my room.

if you remember....it had the Slaine logo embossed on it and it wasn't bad, but probably a bit infringing.

I have to order more of those official one if I want to bind all of them. Seems small than I expected, and I'm not sure if they would hold the old bog roll progs and the intermediate ones that have gone in and out of fashion since then and now.

Mass Effect 3

Quite good fun but the cut scenes are fucking interminable.

I thought those cut scenes were the best thing about it!

Never had a problem with the sequel as it's become a trademark thing that the alien would always choose a different prey. Maybe if the related films that came afterwards followed that same theme, and stuck to the same formula. That might have made up for Vs, One & Two, and Predators.

I  quite like last instalment of that game. It's well down, and I might buy it through Origin when the price goes down. Where I've sampled a good portion of the demo. it's very artful, I like the artwork shown on those cards when ever you choosing a profession and to be human, elf or dwarf. Those choices remind me of how much the rules for PathFinder also reminds me of first edition Dungeons & Dragons and the games play and how you control your party of characters. The way you can flip between second and third person view is great.

Never liked the earlier version of this game.

Been playing more X-Com Two lately as you may know and I've become increasingly aware of  Judge Dredd references that may not be all together welcome. The ones that call themselves the Advent which are basically us human being drip fed alien DNA that has subtly changed their appearance without any adverse effects. They have become more psi-sensitive and I guess that's another more subtle reminder.

Wearing their helmets that hides their alien deformity. They're enlarged skulls, eyes with orange blood. They're are vaguely like a Judge's and the Sergeants look more like Gestepo and they're guns are genetically synced to they're owners DNA. So, they shock or blow up if found in the hands of anybody else.

A strong one there.....I wonder if there may be 2000AD MOD for this one?

I've ben busy creating a roster of rookies and specialist soldiers based on the cast of the first Ghostbusters film on X-Com Two and who knows, I may even do one for their female replacements in my attitude that they should have upgraded their tech moved on from spooks to aliens. Replacing the Ecto-One  & their HQ with a flying fortress.

Who wants to sign up and let me add you to the roster?

Ghostbusters 2 is cack!

Utter cack indeed. Which is interesting in the context of the present discussion, since it featured the exact same funny and notably male cast as the sainted original.

I've been thinking about that...without actually know why the second film bombed and have now come to the conclusion that it was mostly the same as the first, but with new villain.....Vigo...with some misguided creep in supporting role...who I remember, but he was the original Dragon-Slayer and Cookie from Ally MacBeal and apart from animated the Statue of Liberty as a even bigger patriotic gesture it was just more of the same.

I was reading in their wiki, that one of the comic adaption of this was crossed over with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and then thought that might have worked, if they did that instead. I think both the sequel and the very first TMNT film were made close to the same time. Still I like to see this done with the assistance of todays tech.

Slimer looks really out of place by todays' standards. Given that hungry green ghosts have a place.

I still can't find any rumour of what Dan Akroyd's original concept for scifi-spoof that sounded like he wanted to pay homage to the 1950's sci-fi serials. Sounded a lot like what that X-Com game was base on to me. Then were altered to become Ghostbusters

Could you imagine how that may have panned out if they stuck with that concept. Unfortunitely, it 's looks like I'm wrong when finding this while trying to sift through other related pages of Ghostbusters related internet.  It does sound a bit more X-Com with a paranormal theme.

They might have done that and with the ladies, but maybe not those ladies and go for a more serious less comedic approach. I don't think the success of the original film is being wasted on this experimentation with their style of comedy passed on to those who might not do so well with it.

No, I don't think lightening will strike twice here.

Finally got to see Future-Shock - A Story of 2000AD today. After it arrived in my mail box. I only ordered dvd from JB Hi-Fi earlier this week.

While I expected all the that rough talk from creators here after seeing the teasers and the trailer for this. It still really comes as a shock to me within the context of the full documentary. Even if it's essential to punk themes at the roots of this publication.

Naturally, I loved seeing a
slightly animated Slaine hacking into one of those pre-flood critters with his Leyser-Sword and then later Mike MacMahon's famous picture of him vs the time-misplaced T-Rex.
About the negative side of this  hinted at above. Well, the problem with me is that I do have a habit of assuming everything I read or watch on a big screen is related to me somehow. This may be a subconscious thing and in this situation it does come into effect.....

Which brings me back to something I wrote about wanting to improve upon that Slaine - the Horned God trailer. I merely wanted to see thing more atypical of northern lands and I also take heed that I only know stuff from what I have deciphered through the internet and not official somebody and only a fan. I know I should have kept this to myself, but I succumb to my fan boy weakness to set things right and want do this myself. I don't really want to contact any of the true creators until I'm absolutely sure I can do what I said I could. Otherwise, this is just a flight of fantasy for me and who ever else finds my plan interesting.

Now, after watching has increased my doubts and the new lease of sanity I got from moving house.
While I appreciated the encouragement, wether it was silent or given and the resentment that might be felt by a lot of you. I'm just foreign fan boy who's always admired from a far and never any closer.

Anyway, watching the animations...all of them really, got my creative juices flowing. Still not sure about my original plan, though. Yet, I now have the work space need.

Well, I call women for different reasons and still think the original team own it.

Even if Dan Akroyd seems totally on board with this.

Didn't write a rough draft for film about them being a squad of Space-Rangers who protected humanity from aliens and this became Ghostbusters????? I know I read this somewhere!

If Slimer was based on the late John Belushi, shouldn't do the same for Harold Ramis without making it official. I understand this could be seen as in bad taste, but that's what the ugly little spud was based on.
