The Walking Dead - the comic, never watched the TV show. I just don't get it! It's bog standard, common-or-garden zombie/survival fare, nothing unique or interesting about it. I also found the writing a bit off - lots of cheesy dialogue, supposedly intelligent adult characters that talked like teenagers, and cheap, soap opera-level shock twists.

Okay, it was latest, the ultimate series about zombie outbreak....world wide and it was done with attention to detail and respect for the genre and the make up effects are awesome.

Despite the fact that it's going the way of actual Undead Apocalypse right!

Apologies if you find the reply unwelcome, but I just felt like saying that!

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F

I have to say this was a big step down from Battle of Gods. There just wasn't any real sense of fun, nor was there any real sense of threat.

I think I was most annoyed with
Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan form not being explained or justified at all. At least in BoG Goku had to work his way into Super Saiyan God through the progression of the story. So there's a satisfactory payoff when he achieves it. This time, not at all.
Really disappointing.

Used to watch the original cartoon when it was in it's hey day back in 2002 for 6 months straight every morning while living in caravan park  near Cronulla in Sydney.

No cable television, (I guess!) is at least better than no television at all.

I didn't do much else at the time in those days and would then proceed to play Dark Cloud alternated with Pigs of War (With the late [n]Rick from the Young Ones voice over that Your doing a man's job! over and over again is better and funnier than you may think it is!)

I didn't think the cartoon was that bad back then and a better alternative to Pokémon. Each episode seemed to revolve more around flexing muscles and seeing who could best who in a one on one duel than any type of story and was still enjoyed.

Brought one of the fighting games for PSTWO and kind of like it, but I don't use that console any more.

Didn't think much of the live action film, it was coloured by numbers while me leaving me thinking they might bothered with the live action at all. The humour and the funny voices, I don't think they were transferred quit how I like.

As for Justine Chatwin....Goko, he is not!

You-Tube has finally uploaded this for me.....

First Ever Play of Mad-Max - Reminds Me of Rogue Trooper.....

Just take note of the date  and realise how long I waited on and off for this to finally upload.....amongst other game videos and my claims that how the part where he drops into small canyon or dry cannel at the start reminds me of the beginning of Rogue Trooper. Yes, I understand you may think this is another pointless delusion of mine and not actually a infringement of any kind, but it's just one of those things where I saw connection very briefly.

Rogue Trooper - Mission One - Watch at 5 : 30

And I'm sorry, but "we are going to use dinosaurs as soldiers" is a stupid plot idea.  If I was making films about dinosaurs and you suggested this and you weren't drunk and/or Roger Corman I would slap you.

That might have been my idea, does that make it sound any better.

The Rover

Watching a film right now....hasn't finished yet and it's set in the some of the more desolate small towns of Australia outback and it has Guy Pearce and Glitter-Boy from Twilight.

He's certainly shown another side I haven't seen of him, kind of half baked. Not his usual suave stuff and Guy Pearce looks very wrecked compare to how he usual looks on the sliver screen or may be this is how he is always before his morning coffee.

I believe somebody else here was talking about this one earlier, a few months back, I reckon.

Very interesting film, and I'm just wondering right now, what if the last Mad Max film was made with the  same amount of reality as this one.
One of them just got shot.......
Was looking forward to the Jurassic-World film the since I missed it at the theatre's earlier this year and was thrilling (Word used near the start of the film!) to find this on the Box-office channel.

Watched it was my dad and found it very hard to get into. Didn't really get that the special was that much bigger than it's less meddled hatchlings. Yes, I could see that it w as big, and yet I didn't feel they used any special movie tricks to point his out more and might be that I just couldn't pay enough attention.

I did like that it mirrored the very first film in one scene where I think the two brothers were being harassed by the large one while they were using the see-thru-spherical which brought me back to the four-wheel-jeep on rails. I think all this film needed was some....

If they were not already killed off in previous instalments and about Richie Cuttingham's daughter....wow!!!!

I never saw that part where all the flying ones got electricuted , but the exploding helicopter made me chuckle.

Interesting that Oghams might not had the origins I have read that it has the few times I had seen it that way. So, that might be saying the names of every trees was a Latin thing as well?

A few things didn't get right.....

That photo is not one of my own pictures and I also meant to say that Aurabesh is only the most widely used written language in the SWU.

First action figure  I ever brought was Power-Droid.....

Just had a proper look at that picture while reaching up to the shelf above my head to grab the so called action figure and see that it's the one on the left in that picture (Which is my own picture!) merely because of the spike on top. where they said it is......bugger looking for the other stuff. I got only one of those droid A.F.'s and still wouldn't be bothered looking for other variations.

Not sure if that means I now have the original or the latest line of one of those.

BTW... in a some related video I found I that there is a made up written language that everybody, everything uses in the SWU ever since Empire Strikes Back and it's been reinserted where appropriate in to every other film in the quadrilogy.

It's called Aurabesh

Kind of like Oghams or Runes with a more Latin, influence. Not sure I like this idea and thought it might have been spoken language as well. Yet, it's not, because.....what we understand as plain English is what they call Galactic or Galactic-Basic. So, Aurabesh is only the most widely used written language apparently.

Now imagine if Slaine was entirely written in Oghams and everybody had speak that way as well.

Just saw this and thought I might add that I lived it better at the beginning as well, but not sure were on the same wave length there.

Some of this makes sense and the rest seems contrary.

I'm not sure if my post was taken seriously or taken as wrong or that I don't understand this thread, because I think topic has gone over my head.

Unless somebody wants to say something...

I loved John Carter, too. Perfect family sci-fi shenanigans!

I was disappointed with this one and thought it was as TB said about the Hulk film made by Ang Lee....(Words to the effect!) overdone and yet somehow this was what was needed because it requires a lot of CGI to bring it to life. I just thought it was way too busy like Where's Wally picture.

Up against the computerised fakery, the actors and the world... the live action looked flat to me.

It didn't evoke that atmosphere I got looking the original artwork.

And the Princess never bared her breasts once like a lot of the art work suggests.

Just lost a Gnormus post which I hope to replace later on today or tomorrow.

As for the accusation of me victimising women is very harsh and a word that shouldn't be used to describe me and on that note I don't wish to be marginalised this way, not being such high profile person as the actual cast of this show. Besides, I get pursued by the so called fairer sex in any way unworthy......then yes, she may have to be a victim. Yet, I don't ever do that.....

Agreed that most of you don't like my opinions here, but they are mine and that is fair enough even if they don't match yours.

Anyway I'm not about to jump into bed with this silver-haired she-goblin who graduated from former wife-beaten victim to a underworld figure in place where that sort of thing might as well be left on the surface.  Going by the sass she was handing out for free in the pantry with the other female Alexandrians and to another woman. Even another bad example of humanity that later turns out to be her decoy when wolves rush in.

She just leaves me cold......

Games / Re: New games for 2015!

I had brought earlier games in that series and started playing them from the beginning while videoing it. Don't know why I stopped, it did remind of Dungeon-Keeper humour wise and this new one looks like  a silly version of Diablo.

Like you said....keep swinging....
