Games / Re: Last game played...
03 January, 2014, 10:09:31 PM
Several game's at the minute, up to & including:
Killzone Shadow Fall for the PlayStation 4 - Before my console broke down, I was busy playing this little baby. Hopefully, I'll have have another console before the month is out, so I'll finally finish the game.
Telltale Games' The Wolf Among Us & The Walking Dead: Season Two for the PlayStation 3 - I'm a massive fan of both the Fables comic & The Walking Dead: Season One so it's pretty obvious really.
Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse - Episode One for the PlayStation Vita - I've played the first three games, and when I heard that this was coming back to Sony, I instantly couldn't wait to play this.

Prog / Prog 1863: Mutant Massacre
02 January, 2014, 02:34:53 PM
Unexpectedly got this through the post today!!! The date for this prog is 08 Jan 2014!!

Cover: Dylan Teague pic showing the mutants fighting!!!

Droid Life: Entertaining, as usual!!

Judge Dredd: Titan: Some final flashbacks (showing the bigger picture), and a nice nod/reference to
Judgement Day
. Standard cliffhanger ending!!

Ulysses Sweet, Maniac for Hire: Centred: Another hilariously bonkers strip, very entertaining!!!

ABC Warriors: Return to Mars: Doesn't interest me in the slightest, though there is an explanation  for
Happy Shrapnel's return
, and a reference/nod to the
Roadkill
story from 1999!!

Grey Area: Did you pack your own luggage?: New story, with the consequences of the
alien diplomat's death
biting them hard and fast Aliens-style!!! Now I think I know why DAbnett wrote the Grey Area Christmas tale!!

Strontium Dog: Dogs of War: It's all kicking off now, looks like the Second Mutant War is about to end soon with the
Norm Brotherhood led by Dad Nabbett
being the
Government's last line of defense
around
London
!!!

Following 2012 & its personal highlights (the Dredd-verse mega-epic Trifecta, Telltale Games' The Walking Dead and Marvel's The Avenger's movie), 2013 proved to be an interesting year, with highlights up to & including Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary Celebrations (Name of the Doctor, Night of the Doctor, Day of the Doctor, Time of the Doctor, An Adventure in Space and Time, and a repeat of the very first serial, An Unearthly Child.), The Mentalist's Red John reveal, the Red Wedding in the Game of Thrones episode "The Rains of Castemere", new shows such as The Blacklist, Utopia & Yonderland, the news that Fables is ending and my Holiday to Australia with my parents to see my brother & other relatives.

This year should be equally interesting, with movies such as Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy & X-Men: Days of Future Past, the continuation of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: Season Two & The Wolf Among Us, and the next Judge Dredd mega-epic, Dark Justice. I'm also looking forward to more Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, The Blacklist & Utopia, and hope that both Still Open All Hours & Yonderland get new series'.

RIP to my Gran, who passed away Monday at the ripe old age of 101. She missed the Titanic by a few months but nonethless lived through some momentous events. Her father served in the Great War at only 19 years of age and died the year after the armistice suffering badly from shellshock; her husband served in the RAF in the next war, and she had sons in the Army of Occupation in Berlin in the late '40s and some 40 years after that the Falklands war. She often talked about standing in her front doorway holding my newborn aunt Anne in her arms staring at the red glow in the sky as the Luftwaffe bombed Southampton 13 miles away, and the wind from the bombing blew the hem of her nightdress around her legs. She was married and settled with several children before my other Gran had even been born, and there isn't even much of an age gap between my parents! Impressive stuff, and even at the age of 100 she was still living alone in her terrace, climbing the stairs to bed every night - her vision was 20/20 and only her hearing really seemed to be suffering with age. She had such an iron constituton she could have gone on for years yet, but I think she'd simply decided enough was enough.

This, is the most moving post of the past year. RIP to a truly impressive woman!!!!

Looks like Rogue Trooper 04 will collect the following:

Cinnabar
What Lies Beneath
Weapons of War
Overkill
Lions
A Visit to the Boneyard
Requiem
Angels
Ghouls)
Realpolitik
Condor Six Down
Dead Ringer
What If... Gunnar Survived the Quartz Zone Massacre?

I guess that I'll be buying both Dredd Case Files, the Tales from Nu-Earth, Volgan War Volume 04, Psi Files 04 & the Daily Dredds with both Alien vs Dredd vs Predator & Devlin Waugh also getting a look in!!!

Two questions for the Graphic Novel Team:

1) Is Devlin Waugh the first in a series of Devlin Waugh trades??
2) Is the Aliens vs Dredd vs Predator trade part of the Dredd Case Files, i.e. will it have the same, or a similar spine??

Yes!!
