I've not watched the last few of these as yet, are they still managing to get THAT car into most shots?

My Game of Thrones Season 2 Blu Rays arrived the other day, so planning a complete marathon of all episodes to date ahead of the Season 3 premiere later this month. Hopefully I'll like s2 a bit more this time round as i was a bit disappointed by it when it originally ran last year.

I felt the same way, gave me the nudge I needed to start reading the books.

Waiting to see this weeks prog, I've lost count of the amount of times Dredds offered up his badge though. I always liked the idea that Dredd was more of just another Judge rather than the top bad ass Judge in MC1.

.... leaves me wondering how it can be classed as one of the longest-running TV shows when it was cancelled for what, over ten years?).

Marketing?  ;)

I don't think the film was ever going to be able to top the second, it was a good effort with a bit of a silly ending. I've watched the first two films plenty of times, I am not sure I could sit through the third more than a couple of times more, if that. Lots of plot points I could moan over, but it did what it was meant to & was a good enjoyable film. Not sure I want to see a Nightwing film though ..

After the first episode of season one I thought it tailed off. Season two was better than I hoped. As an avid reader of the comic, I think I expect too much from the show. But I am looking forward to season three ...

Books & Comics / Re: The Walking Dead Comic thread

I was properly gutted to see who was killed off, it was so brutal. I am not sure how much more they can carry this on though, someone higher up the thread likened it to the comic book equivalent of Eastenders. Now that could be an interesting cross over.

Aside from the Sov plot (yet again zzz) I am starting to enjoy the Dredd story, did wonder who the dude was with the lippy & heavily altered appearance, then realised it was CJ Dan.

I can still well remember the prog when all it had was a two page colour splash & even before then when it was only black & white. Content & story will always be so much more important.

I do wonder how many new readers find 2k, I struggle to find the prog every week & at some point may consider a sub. I can always find stacks of the Meg.

I am loving the simplicity of the art on Low Life & plan to go back & discover Dirty Frank from the best jumping on vantage point.

I decided to try & re-read Low Life, as I've arrived at the current party a bit late. It didn't set the world on fire back in 2004 exactly, is it worth the time to catch up on the back story & do I really need to, in order to fully appreciate the current 2011 story?
Quality necropost. I'd say it's worthwhile reading it as there's not really that much of it. As to whether you need to: not really. I think the seeds of the current story only go as far back as that one time Low Lie was in the Meg and the two D'Israeli ones.

Yep. The early stuff focussed very much on Aimee, didn't it? It only "became" Low Life when the focus shifted to Dirty Frank.

Roughly when was that?
