Film & TV / Re: Superman: Man Of Steel (2013)

I think it looks okay. After waiting for Superman Returns for a couple of years & then to get a re-hash of Superman I I felt cheated.

A new story would have been great, but we know already that the bad guys from Superman II turn up at some point ...

hopefully a new story ... after that I don't overly care about the finer details, cape, pants etc  :-\

Attack The Block was a very good, well paced & acted film. Only gripe,
it was all wound up a little too neatly & quickly at the end.
Has anything much really happened with KA2? I can't help but wonder how much longer clint can keep going ..

I've been quieter of late, I'm really not enjoying 2k for a good while. I have stopped reading everything currently other than Dredd. So can't comment on the stories etc. Perhaps I should sit in a dark room & try harder? hmm

If when reading the Meg I enjoyed most of what I mostly skim read through - I'd buy it. I tired of paying for reprints that I'd already paid for once & if I wanted to read tankgirl I would. The Meg has become more magazine than comic now - perhaps?

I'd be very interested to know how many of us are actually live on this board & how many buy The Meg. I use to love it, but as far as I can see - it's been in trouble for a long time & I keep expecting to see it go. I'm glad it hasn't - but from what I do see (I read a friends copy when he buys it) it struggles & is perhaps over expensive for what you actually get. Film reviews would also be left to Empire & the countless websites that do these. I see nothing to make me buy it again, which is a shame as I've been reading 2k since prog 555ish & was onboard with The Meg. for some 15/18 years.

Pic reminds me of / or to me at least / has a Blade Runner feel to it

Which one of the bare knuckle boxers is Rutger Hauer?

 the Dredd pic, as for picking apart any pic that turns up here - a bit too tiresome for me. Ideally I'll stand back & try very hard to wait & just see the movie on release. However, after Bat-Bike - I'm looking forward to Judge-Bike. I hope they too (like Bat-Man) don't need to corner too often ::)

Whatever Roger did - we really should just ignore him rather than give him airplay. I plan to enter this comp at some point. Top stuff so far.

Edund Bagwell??? Aw fuck! As soon as I posted that I remembered about the cover in the Meg though in my silly brain I'd thought it was Anthony Williams. The stupid fucking cow I live with has thrown the Meg out despite me reading none of the stories yet so I couldn't check (AND I'm going to have to buy the fucking thing again now.)

Anyway, I've emailed Anth Williams saying what a great cover it is and can he send me the 'clean' version. What a twat I'm going to look.

Aaaaaaaagh!

& besides, The Meg does need the sales
