i have to agree on this point.  i have a friend who has worked on the northern no fly zone in Iraq which is there to prevent saddam bombing the shit out of the Kurds.  however, they regularly have no flying days where all NATO aircraft are grounded so that that the Turks can go and bomb the shit out of them instead.  i suppose it just depends on whose side your are on really!!

your right of course but i was making a cheap jibe about talking about religion and poilitics in social circles being a bad idea....i was trying to lighten the mood.

you can also make a nuclear bomb with enriched uranium but the process for producing it is quite complicated and requires specialist centifuges to extract the enriched uranium from the normal stuff.

if you read the assessment written by the government of the capabilities of saddam's regime which is available on the home office website you can see that he is a real threat to stabilisation in the middle east and some of the missiles he is developing will have a range of upto 1000Km which means they will reach some NATO member countries.  this means if it hits us or not we are affected.  have a look at it yourself and see what you think.  a little hyped up perhaps but it certainly puts things into perspective and you have to ask yourself the question "what else do they know that they aren't telling us?"

i also grew up less than 5 miles from a major American airbase during the cold war and have an avid interest in world events and their possible ramifications.

the meg comes in a seperate envelope for some strange reason.  what makes you think your only down for 12?  on the label on the envelope it should show the prog you start the subscription at and the meg you start at as follows:

1307+ 13+  meaning subscription from prog 1307 onwards and meg 5.13 onwards.  that's how i understand it anyway......
