The Grand Hall of Justice or failing that a sector house.

As much as I dislike FP you would have thought that as one of the UK's few comic publishers 2000AD would warrant a section in the graphic novel page like DC & Marvel and the other publishers.

Cant believe that it was December 1991 when we last saw Massimo in 2000AD.

Just looking at his profile page and some of the original art people own and after seeing this page makes me want to go and dig through a pile of old dusty crisp boxes.

I reckon its about time we had an Extreme Edition dedicated to one artist to show how much his work is appreciated whilst he's still around & maybe the collected thrill power and good will can help give a little extra charge to his pacemaker.

>He may not have ever been a "name" 2K artist in the way Brian Bolland, Mike McMahon or Kev O'Neill were

he may not get mentioned as much as the other guys but I'll always consider his stuff up there with the best of 2000AD. His work on Angry Planet for Tornado, ACE Trucking, Dragonheist, The Dead etc deserves more recognition and is worthy of at least an extreme edition.

Didn't mind the fact that Dredd pulled the leads out but just wished he'd said something lawfull to justify why. Robbie Morrison's Dredd's seem to always have Dredd being in touch with the people next he'll be letting some blind woman feel his face so she knows what he looks like.

I did ask the artist if they had permission and here's the reply.

Item: ARTISU - LARGE JUDGE DREDD POP ART PAINTING (7366281916)
---------------------------------------
Hello,

No I have not talked to them about this. I have on other subjects but that is beside the point. It is a painting. Not a mass produced copy. It is a one-off work made by hand. I hope that answers your question. If they asked me not to do any more paintings of Dudge Dredd, I would not do any more. I might well do for my own collection, but not sell it.

Kind regards,

Nikolai

Having a look through E-Bay looking to plug some gaps in my collection I came across someone selling a big picture of Dredd and wondered how Tharg looks upon people making money out of his characters?
It doesnt look to difficult and for ?85 a pop a good money earner.
