It's definitely not an ad campaign; it doesn't show the makers of Facebook in a very flattering light. It is however a great film.

I have to confess about being a bit dense regarding a point in last week's Low Life, which this week's didn't really clear up;
did Cameron kill Mortal? The final panels in last week's ep made it look (to me anyway) like the car had crashed after being shot up from the outside, so I thought they were attacked. Now Cameron's following Frank all sinister-like.
Anyone?

Don't think anyone know either way, nor indeed who's side the old dearie is on, or what's happened to Nixon! That's why its the best thing in the prog at the mo'!!!

Ah, so it's not just me then....

Film & TV / Re: Tom Hardy in new Batman film

There's no way he'll be Killer Croc. Nolan has already said he won't use villains like Mr.Freeze because they're too outlandish for his version of Batman, I can't see him using a large man-crocodile. I'd go with Deadshot, or maybe the gunrunner version of the Penguin that was rumoured a while back.

I have an irrational dislike of Rhys Ifans, so I'm gonna say bad.

Now, Tom Hardy as a Batman bad guy, that I can get behind.

Sorry, that looks crap.

Simon Pegg's new brand of comedy seems to be; put on an accent, shout loudly and hope for the best. Get him back working with Edgar Wright, fast.

Just finished season 4. I mean, damn.

My one gripe with this show is Deborah. She has one character trait, and that's swearing. Not that I have a problem with swearing mind, but really, that's all she does, and while it's meant to convey her hard-assed tomboyish attitude, it's really just annoying after a while. That, and the fact that almost every conversation with her ends with her on the verge of tears.

I'm not sure whether it was the artwork in Dredd in this story, or the general concept, but I had forgotten how creepy Resyk could be.

The main problem with the queen's human womb was why did it only pop up at the end? She was laying alien eggs at the start, then Wormtongue rattles off a couple of lines of exposition and suddenly she has a human womb and there's a new hybrid alien to deal with. It's never hinted at earlier in the film, it's just dropped in there.

I do enjoy Resurrection, but I'd definitely put it 4th in the quadrilogy. It feels more like a series of episodes than a coherent film; Walk a bit, find the lab full of clones, walk a bit more, get to the kitchen, etc. No one bit seems connected to the rest. Still, it's fun and a hell of a lot better than either of the AvPs.

I was in Chapters the other day and found the aforementioned Frazer Irving collection  for 4.99. A good day.

General / Re: Favourite Nikolai Dante moment ?

Well, some of my favourites have been nabbed already, but I'll go with one from way back in Moscow Duellists, the look on Dante's face when
Caius dies
.

To hell with it, the Saw films have become a halloween tradition for me, I'm not going to stop going now.

Have to disagree on that one I'm afraid. Anyway, I've already got the first five books, so I'm hardly going to stop after Courtship....

Are some of these books out of print now? The shop doesn't have Amerika or Sword of the Tsar, and even Amazon only has one used copy of Sword.

God help this place when someone leaks the first Dredd movie pics.
