Agreed. If they could just take him and put him in a good Punisher film, that would kick ass, but I think after three strikes, they won't be trying to bring the character to the screen again.

I wasn't wild about this ep to be honest. It felt like it was written by someone who was just ignoring the way characters had been acting for the last few episodes:
-Chief fought against the mutiny, accepted his old job back and is doing everything he can to repair Galactica, but when the vote comes up to ditch the fleet, he takes it?

-When we saw Ellen last week, it seemed as if  she was now a different person, fully awake as a Cylon, smarter, benevolent, etc. But this week she's the same petty bitch she always was.

-And what's with the endless shots of Adama walking around inspecting the repairs? They didn't lead to anything, they just felt like time fillers.

There was one great scene however, when Tigh visits Adama near the end. It made me think that some of my favourite scenes from this show have involved Tigh and Adama talking over a drink.
After consulting  the six-foot tall cardboard Captain Kirk in my room, Star Trek.

I used to love Star Wars, but I watch them now (the new and the old) and I can't really see what the fuss is about. They're fun, yeah, but not the sci-fi Lord of the Rings they're made out to be.

Trek though, leaving aside Enterprise and  most of Voyager, is something I never get bored of.

Quote from: "garageman"Best episode so far, what a mindfuck? and I don't mean the getting back.

What do you mean?

I'm wondering if there are any outtakes from this episode of actors getting clobbered as they walked between the pendulum. It really looked like an accident waiting to happen.

I really enjoyed it too. A little slow to build up perhaps, but the sheer tension in the execution of the plan and the aftermath is fantastic. Good performances all round too. (I liked Cruisenberg's handless Nazi salute - surely the most subtle way of saying "Fuck you" I've ever seen)

My main problem with it, and this isn't enough to stop me enjoying it, is that there is no real turning point to the ending. (And I'm not really spoiling anything here, because we know they don't succeed) Just in the aftermath of the attempt, for a while, things are going well for the conspirators, and then they're not. There's no real sense of climax to the film. I suppose that's just how history played out, and perhaps they didn't want to embellish it.

Well now, this week's ep is quite the curveball....
Less then halfway through the season and they are now back on the Island? I was not expecting that. But, plenty of seeds have been sown, not the least of which is the dude in the queue behind Jack at the airport. He's a relatively well-known face, so I'm sure he'll be popping up again. And what the hell happened to Ben on the way to the airport?

I wonder, if everyone is already back on the Island, then what will this do to the format they've been using so far this season of "present day real world/screwy time island"? Will they go back to using flashbacks/forwards to show life off the Island, or will they ditch that aspect altogether? Time will tell...
Okay, now you have me really confused... :)

As for the final five's memories,
I don't think all their memories were faked. Presumably they were dropped in sometime during the war with all the memories they'd need and everything after that was learned.Except that Tyrol, Tory and Anders would be too young for that, they must have shown up later.
I just still can't get the whole "13th tribe being Cylons thing." Who made them, 4000 years ago?

Quote from: "Mardroid"Aussie girl's (I forget her name, the one who mysteriously vanished.)

Claire, which reminds me; No-one on the Island seems particularly bothered about her whereabouts. I had to go back and check Wiki to remind myself what happened to her last season. Shouldn't someone be wondering where she is?

Quote from: "Mardroid"(Incidentally, he had a child with her didn't he? Is he only adoptive father then, since she was pregnant from one of the French guys, or have I got time mixed up? I.e. has she had two?)

As far as I know, Ben (or one of the other Others) took she child she was pregnant with when she arrived on the Island, and he raised her as his own. That was Alex. I don't think she had another.

Quote from: "the shutdown man"My question is, after the events of this episode;
shouldn't Rousseau have recognised Jin way back in season 1? Of course, she had gone kinda nuts by the time she showed up in the first season, and I can't actually remember if she and Jin actually talked at all, so it's probably moot, but still.
Do you remember people you met for only an hour 20 years ago?

No, but I was five back then.

Quote from: "Gavin_Leahy"How did
Sawyer not see Jin before the flash
as they seemed to be standing next to each other after it.
Could be they were traveling from different points in time, so although they were standing together in space they were not together in time until they both jumped to the same point in time.
Or something.
I think they're all in the same point in time, but Jin was running for a while before the flash, so I'd say he only just caught up with Sawyer and co. at the moment the flash happened.
Interesting.....

Indeed. I clicked on the link to the original vid when I first found it on Reddit, not knowing what it was, and I had to turn it off after about 30 seconds.  Hopefully the little bastards learn what happens when they drop the soap.

At the same time though, a lot of names were being tossed around in the forums, with full details. Okay, it looks like they found the right guy or guys, but there's a pretty big risk in letting an internet lynch mob run loose.

This has been all over the internet this weekend, so I'd guess a lot of people have seen/heard it by now. The original video was online on Saturday, in which a teenager in a black mask beat the shit out of a cat while laughing maniacally. Within hours, discussion boards on Reddit and 4chan had managed to actuallly find the guys name, address and phone number, post it all over the net for everyone to see, so I'd imagine he's taken a fair bit of abuse by now anyway, but he's also been arrested. So I suppose the moral of the story is, don't piss off the internet.

That is indeed awesome.

But has anyone played the game? I'm hearing a surprising amount of people say it sucks.
