Herbs.  With an AITCH.  Do you see?

Fabry managed without having baps out all the time.  He's the gold standard as far as I'm concerned (although Bellardinelli & McMahon who were also amazing didn't overindulge in the boobular department either).

So I'd say semi-nude is absolutely fine, even, occasionally, total nudity is fine if done "tastefully" (that's right - TASTE MY NUDITY).  The outfits that prompted this discussion in the first place - with holes in them to allow boobage to pop out, they look tacky and detract from the otherwise classy and believable world in Slaine.  It's prehistory, not a fetish club.

Although the leading man's old leatherboy outfit might indicate otherwise.  *wink*

I can't believe anyone takes a thing Roger says in that vein seriously.  It's obvious he doesn't mean it.

They just dumped the only good singer left if the black dude's gone.  Proof the public are derranged.

Colin's Johnny is a very close second place behind Carlos for me.  And those last scenes, when I can bring myself to read them, still bring a tear to my eye.

Ore-GA-no?

Agreed.

And Basil - as in Fawlty.  Not BAY-zil.

What an interesting chat.  I'll ignore the funny child who's gone now (although I *DID* bloody tell you). Rebellion aren't morons - they keep putting out a cracking range of collections with regularity which seem to sell pretty well AND manage to put out a weekly sf/fantasy/horror anthology comic that continues to wipe the floor with large swathes of their multinational-supported competition and discover new talent.  A comic, I might add, that's better now than it's ever been.

Lots of former readers are returning.  My thrill-merchant's order has gone up and the owners, knowing my proclivities, are asking me more and more questions to keep boned up on the comic and the nterest of their customers.  New talent continues to emerge.  No doubt they're working on building the interest and winning new readers and lapsed former Squaxx through that old-fashioned method of making it bloody brilliant.

Good on 'em, right now I see no danger on the horizon.  The only thing I think might need addressing is getting a THIRD title out there, dragging the weenie squaxx into the House of Tharg.

Classifieds / Re: Prospective Classifieds Rules thread

Looks gret - should spell an end to endless "what issues/where are you/how much do you want" questions.  Good to have guidelines to make sure it works easier and fairer.

First, we take Manhattan.
I believe Marshal Law got their first.  That's a fight I'd like to see - Joe Gilmore Vs Joe Dredd.

I like JLS.  Mainly because it'd only take a little work to make their logo read "JIZ".

Can't they come up with some way to force people not to behave like ill-educated little twatsticks when online?  Some sort of sportsmanship points accrued by seeing out games to the end when you're losing badly or something - that way you'll know if someone's a dingleberry or not.

And maybe translation software to turn "DEAD!  HE'S DEAD, I KILLED HIM, ME!!!! I'M WICKED AND UR ALL LOOOOOOSERS FOR NOT NAILING HIM FIRST.  LOL!" into "good work team, thanks for the support"

Books & Comics / Re: Whats everyone reading?

How do you accidentally read two whole novels?

Not that I'm complaining you understand, they're great.  Just wondering how you get further than the first page or two without thinking "hey, I'm meant to be doing the washing up!"

Took longer than expected, but when you get to our age, what with our mountains of savings in the bank,  you start thinking maybe people aren't so bad, maybe if you just gave them a chance...  That's when it's time to quit.
Best post in ages that, TB.  *applause*

I told you!

Now, who wants to be the first to say "You were right, Mikey!  We love you and shall erect a statue in your honour!" and bring me a nice cuppa?  Anyone?

Anyone?
