I know you're trying to leave ressurecting other writers' stuff behind Kek, and fair play, but if you got the blessing of whoever wrote the original then I think you could go far with this.

That you've gotten THIS far is proof why YOU'RE a writer and I'm not.

Yeah that's right - the poster prog DID come inbetween the two parts of the Boudican storyline.  Felt a bit stupid at the time.....  Still ended up enjoying it though.  Looking forward to this.

Good points well made TB.

For my part, I try not to type something on the internet that I wouldn't say to someone's face.  And I was raised pretty well so even if I'm justifiably angry about something, I'd rather be polite about it.

As for a comic - there is no way in which I can be justifiably angry about the content of a comic.  I either like something or I don't.  I can be a little annoyed for sure, maybe that something is working as well as I think it could, but anger?  No, not really.  So I'll do my best to be reasonably pleasant about any negative criticism I might have.

Prog / Re: Prog 1679: Review.

Can't agree.

The White Army have been present since near the beginning (their technology since the first arc) - they've always been presented as an agressively expansionist group threatening to break into our dimension.  Were it left here, it feels unfinished and wouldn't quite work.  FOr me at least.

Think about it - in "Amerika" the White Army made their move, and got slapped down hard.  But there's (presumably) a whole dimension of them - especially since the Red Guard were revealed to have been defeated several years ago.  Their deal with the Romanovs was for genetic material from prisoners and, once their war was over there was nothing to stop them coming here and taking an entire planet's worth.

The battle against the White Army could well be something that would unite and strengthen the Empire after the war too.

Whatever your thoughts, there are clearly too many things left hanging for it to end here.  ALthough I fear we'll lose a lot of major (and beloved) characters along the way.  *sniff*  Something tells me either Nikolai, Jena or BOTH won't survive.....

It's been said by Morrison and Fraser that the way it ends has been set up for a while, despite aspects of how we got there being tweaked and changed.  Have a little faith in the creators - hopefully it'll be rewarded.  And we'll get our happy ending.

Aw, thanks for including me IATS.  *blush*  This thread never fails to surprise and delight, it's always got something to show and it's really nice to see this stuff.

I'm supporting my local thrill merchant buy buying my progs and megs at my local comic shop (Calamity in Harrow town centre, a lovely bunch of guys who've taken care of me for ages).

And apparently, when I mooched in this week to pick up my prog?  No prog this week, two next week.

Sigh.

"Anybody that is a global warming denier at this point in time has got their head so deeply up their a** I'm not sure they could hear me, Cameron added."

I did think he was an egotistical prick, but that quote has gone a long way to redeeming him in my eyes!
I have to agree with both DDD AND Cameron.  He's a rubbish film-maker (although with an undeniably populist outlook which is a good thing, even if he thinks popular audiences are a bit thick with all his Johnny Exposition dialogue) and with the exception of one or two things, I've found little to like among his body of work.

My mate Donn L'oad meant that I got to see Avatar on my sofa.  Bored the arse off me, didn't last the first hour.  This is a good thing for Cameron as having someone walk out, even if you never hear about it, can't be nice.  Yawn.

I also wish I'd never wasted my time on E.T. so whoever hadn't seen that I say "well done, STAY AWAY!"

Welcome to the board / Re: hi

Nice one deano.

Not only is it the galaxy's greatest comic, it's also the galaxy's nicest webforum so you'll be made welcome.  No question too stupid, not inane off-topic banter too silly.  Welcome, you are among friends.

Too.  Much.  Information.

Or not enough.  I can never be sure.  Better give some more anyway.

Games / Re: First glimpse of New Dredd Game?

They've got a lot on their plates I guess - AvP seems to have went well, chances are good they'll be kept busy developing stuff for other people for a while - which will pay the rent so good news.

Hopefully we'll get round to the Twothy games soon enough.  Personally I can comfortably wait for Dredd, there's other properties to be developed too.

I'm sure this resurrection is somewhat inspired by a recent post of mine.  Good thing too, I never knew this thread existed...  Hurray!

That's publication order - Lost Years presumably being saved up for just before The Secret Commonwealth as it originally saw print rather than where they sit in chronology.  No real harm - the Lost Years slot in somewhere between The Horned God when he becomes High King and Demon Killer where
he dies
.

Can't wait for the next one - Name of the Sword & Lord of Misrule being Clint Langley's non digital high watermark.
