Oh really?

*grabs Nemesis volume 3*

Damn, you're right.

Personally I wish they'd put all the "bonus" material in reading order among the stuff from the progs, it would have worked better.  And of course, that cracking Poster Prog story should've made the cut.  Bum.  That's a real shame.  And of course it means that I won't be offloading that with my progs when I finally shift them.

This reminds me of the "Who has the massivest, marvellousest, most meaty thrusting wanger in comics" thread that Blue/Rich started.  *sigh* Halcyon days, SO long ago.....

Just because most people have voices and you've got a bit of technique, passion or a pleasing tone it DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN SING.  Pitch.  It takes work, but pays dividends.  And those technologies can be imperfect.  For example, while singing live Cheryl would be unable to improvise or deviate at ALL from a very pinned-down performance plan because otherwise the person playing the auto tune will be dragging her into the pitch he THINKS she's going for, and the nearer you are, the better it works.

Apart from anything else it really ought to be a matter of pride.  YET ANOTHER THREAD-DRIFT I've precided over.  Hurray!  Go me.  Apologies.

I know someone who worked in the studio they recorded their first album in.  The amount of auto tune on EACH VOCAL TRACK is disgusting.  Apparently it was very much needed.  So she can barely sing in a studio either.

Hence her dislike of doing it live.  Although these days autotune tech is used in live performances too.

Were that to happen, I'd feel cheated.  It'd show stones, but I really don't want it to go down that way.  We all mellow and mature, it'd be nice if those characters had the chance to do the same.....

I've heard the dog doesn't even deign to look at you, let alone speak.  The biggest wanker in robodog circles short of Toby by all accounts.

Take that faint slur back.

Cass WILL be my wife.  One day.  She in no way resembles a dipilated DeNiro.  Even a slimmed down, dipilated, boob-enhanced Bobby DeNiro.

Am I the only one who hums the appropriate Adam and Joe songs whenever I see both Robert DeNiro and Bob Hoskins?

I'd only gotten used to calling her Cheryl Cole.

Can I just say "the chav in a posh dress off x factor?" please.  Everyone'll know who I mean.

She came out of the coma.

Agreed about Renga though, be nice to see more of him.  Bit of a bad boy.

My brother's stag do (which I organised aged 20 as best man and by far the youngest, least boozy person present) was simple.

6pm - meal at decent steakhouse.
7.30pm - first pub
9pm - second pub
11pm - club
1:30am - unexpected hospital visit after I accidentally broke the leg of the brother of the bride.  Whoops.
2am - drinking bottles of beer in casualty with him while he assured me there was nothing to worry about.

And two days later there was an usher with a full leg cast and a pair of crutches.  Nobody in her family knows the TRUE cause of the injury to this day.  Except those who were there.  What happens in Watford STAYS in Watford.

How much more stuff is there to go through, Ush?

Your commitment to bring us your thoughts on the recent proggage is admirable.  I rarely feel the need to say more than a few sentences about the bits I liked on the prog review thread.  Like this, maybe I should make sure I review the progs PROPERLY in future.

Stag dos are horribly dull OR terrifyingly full of action.  There is no other kind.  You're best off at home, kids in bed, nomming a packet of monster munch with a pint in front of a flick.

Yeah, that's what I was going to say.  Although it'd have been less well-wordeded and that.
